Of course. We are scandinavians. Danish, swedish and norwegian people understand each other just fine because we come from the same people in the past come 1500 years ago. Our small difference in language and culture comes from the times when we were apart, hence, we began modfifying our cultures and languages in our own way throughout the years.

I Think its incredibly cool that Danish people, Norwegian people and swedish people actually can speak in their respective languages and still understand each other. It always amazes me. I'm swedish and always feel happy that I can understand Norwegian and Danish, it's super cool if u think about.

It really is, and I really love the bond we all have. Like, sure, we make fun of the danes and the norwegians, and they do the same to us. But we all really do get along very well and it is always tongue in cheek. That's pretty amazing also considering our histories. We really did not like each other in the not too distant past.

Nog har vi fina språk alltid! Och dessutom fin natur och trevliga människor! Vet inte hur det är med danskar och norrmän men många svenskar har svårt att förstå både danska och norska språket (åtminstone om man pratar snabbt eller har en grövre dialekt). Att förstå text är däremot mycket enklare! Men det är som vissa andra säger i kommentarerna, vi har en typ av naturlig rivalitet även fast vi är grannar!
