This is a very cute lunch kit set. I work at an elementary school and I think the only issue with packing up very hot lunches in containers like these, is the little kiddos having a hard time opening their containers because they become like vacuum sealed 🥴.

How do you keep the yogurt and fruit cold, but hot food warm?

I like to position the ice pack under the food that needs to stay cold. we also have small square ice packs that fit on the side of the bag so it hits the yogurt or fruit directly. the hot food should stay warm be cause its insulated from the rest but the type of food you Put in the thermos can play a part to why it doesn't stay warm not all hot food works for them.

I comment this on every OMIE box video ... do you put ice packs in for the sides like you used yogurt ,I'd Imagen that would need a ice pack but then does that make the thermost not warm? I really want one for my kids but always pack fresh sides so not sure how this would work out

The box is double insulated, so it should not affect your thermos. I like to put a thin ice pack against the space with yogurt because yogurt melts into a liquid if you don’t.

Only suggestion is do not over tighten other wise very hard to open for lil ones also it helps to thoroughly dry after you put hot water and put a paper towel in the bottom of the thermos to keep food from getting soggy

The Omie box is expensive and once you start adding accessories you're looking at maybe $100 for a lunch box

it defiantly is higher in price but that being said we are on year 3 with ours so you do get your moneys worth long term and you don't have to get a new one every year but I also know its not in everyones budget they have some great options to similar ones on amazon for more affordable prices
