In regards to upgrading bounties: you always lose out yes. If you value time, upgrade silvers to gold. If we assume a single pull gives bronze, you break even(but ofc u have a shot to pull silver/gold and do not have such a chance to upgrade to gold from bronze, not that that would sway it to the positive).

i did master the warpike and repeaters and sword and even strikers and working on the axe (i did not reforge any of them yet lol) and i did have some builds on them that dose part damage since parts are needed to craft things

1000 hours in Monster hunter is so much different than 1000 hours in Dauntless You can proudly say you have 1000 hours in MH and people will think “oh he just enjoys playing the game” You say you have a thousand hours on Dauntless and half of it is farming
