Hi Dusty! Thanks for dropping by and watching the stream. Hope to catch you in the next live session. Glad you enjoy the little sneak peak into my work. It's a totally different beast working with a bunch of people watching and trying to keep up with the discussions at the same time. But it was fun. Definitely will make more live sessions. Thanks!!!

Nice track creation walkthrough, Mattias! Thank you for showing it live! This stream is what I missed totally, so I really want to be live next time, hopefully, I'll be in time! :) As usually recently (for some unknown reason, hah), I like the track from the very beginning, with only dice roll and wonderful piano part =) So much love to your piano riffs! I watched the 1st hour early in the evening today, it was so sunny and springy and calm one, so, I think, the track was just perfectly in time :) And yes, this inspiring atmosphere is definitely preserved over the track development till the end! Definitely worth to be completed! Will perhaps make a remix with direct kick for it then, haha) The bass is another thing I particularly like. I should say, I'm now a little bit comfortable with Polysynth, but not so used to Phase-4, yet. I mean, it possible to make something out of it for me, but it is usually completely different from what I initially wanted :-D So it was so interesting to see you use it for bass. And yes, distorted plucks are so decent, too! Do you also use Keytrack modulator? I found it so useful, especially for such things like controlling some notches and peaks in the EQ to get some gliding effect, like those you show, but shifted by the key played. It's so customizable, quite possible to get something interesting of it. By the way, what is the melody you play and improvise almost in the end? It's so nice!) Thank you so much again for the live stream, Mattias! I guess, it's so much effort to get it done. And yeah, I hope, there'd be a chance for me to join the next one) Good luck with new videos and productions and have a wonderful day tomorrow!)

Hi Alexey, good to hear from you.Yeah I'm sometimes using the key-tracking to connect the peaks with key-follow to make them follow notes. It's really good for choirs / formant / vocal sounds etc. Hmm the piano melody at the end, I think I was playing the track "Shallow" from the movie A Star is born. CHeck that one out. A lot of sweet music in that one, and a great movie. Especially if you have ever toured as an artist. Yeah, live streams are energy suckers. But it's like with everything, you just have to start out. Take the devil by the horns. It's very fun when you get going. I will hook one up soon again. Today I'm writing this new piano song, check it on my Patron / Discord. Thanks and have a superb day you too Alexey!

@@MattiasHolmgren Thanks, Mattias, thank you for the reference on the piano track! I did hear the "Shallow" title in the video, but wasn't sure I got it correctly and it's really a title :) Indeed, so beautiful thing in your playing, will check out the movie. Good luck you with this piano song, may the process go in creative and flawless way! And thank you very much again for all the inspiration you share with us! I'm a little bit far from music these days, need to make things for my primary job, PCB design and machine learning, but hopefully will try to work on the next track tomorrow)

Haha, hi Joe, It’s the second live stream from thursday. I uploaded it for those who missed it. More new live streams next week. I’ll try to get another Bitwig Basics out this week though. ;) Working on the new Bitwig sound pack.

@@MattiasHolmgren If I was watching, I would have recommended you apply the iZotope Vinyl plugin on that piano. It would have given it another layer of coolness! :) The amazing plugin is free, so check it out. Or you might have been able to do the same effect with Bitwig's amazing modulation
@MattiasHolmgren5 жыл бұрын
Yeah I have the Vinyl it’s cool! There’s so many places you can take a melody! ;) using Vinyl is probably a lot faster than rigging it up with Bitwig modulators. But it’s totally doable. Most things seem to be possible if we flip the devices. ;) Hope to see you in the next stream for a chat and collab! ;)
