What is DECEIT 2?
Deceit 2 is a 6-9 player social deduction horror game where two among you have been Infected. Whilst the Infected do the Game Master's bidding, the Innocent must work together to escape the Ritual whilst deducing who is plotting against them. So who can you trust?

I love when Chilled plays Deceit but I'm not gonna lie the og is way better lol not only from a gameplay perspective but also as a viewer, being able to kill multiple people, the voting mechanics, the way you earn weapons & tools to even how the night works I feel like it's easier to know who's evil in this one unless one partner decides to never transform until their partner is voted out since you can only kill one person per round. Also liked the Blood bag mechanics and how both monsters had to have enough blood if they wanted to double transform whilst in this one so long as it's the in-between, you can both decide to transform. Not viewing wise it's a lot funner not being able to tell who's who with the shadowy mode & the hunting chilled does is more unhinged imo I do think this video was enjoyable but I prefer the gameplay & the interactions of the 1st one more

The inbetween seems like it lasts a bit too long. Like, even if someone is juking pretty well and there is only one monster, they still always get a kill. Also, the gun might be a bit too strong of an item. Almost seems like there is little reason to choose an item aside from the gun. That's all first impression though, game looks cool

I am sure as the game comes out in full release, the other items might be buffed to be competative. Though gunning people down like in the first game may just be the first thing anyone/everyone does. There isn't much of a chance to change that.

@@nightdrivenen7909 maybe reducing the ammo count might help? The 20~ bullets seem like a lot. Might encourage players to pick an item that will help them through the entire game rather than the immediate now of the situation

🤔 So far I think I like the mechanics of the first game better than the second from what I've seen. More variety in the killing animations would also be nice, it's otherwise currently to static.

Social deduction games look like great fun, but when it comes to public lobbies and servers and the like it’s always just a mess of RDM and slurs and, not a good time. You really need a dedicated group of friends for social deduction games imo.

Bro, I paused to read that clipboard to see how it works, and it would have nailed Chilled's name to a wall if anybody else had seen it (if the game wasn't so new). The game needs some balancing if it's giving info like that.

I think the text in red on the clipboard might have been things only infected can see and a normal person would only be able to see the black ink

It depends if you even buy the clipboard in the first place, and there is a chance that the infected could be lying while holding the clipboard. So while yes, it can immediately point out the results, imagine if two people got two different results: who is going to convince the group first? And then you just have one infected playing cooperative while the other kills. Using the less obvious power of teleporting everyone randomly more often than transforming. Not only that, but if you got someone who is gun happy - like Tay - whoever speaks first would get someone else gunned down very quickly from accusation alone. So, all in all, I don't think it is THAT overpowered. With how limited their resources appear it does not look like the clipboard would be picked often the only way to deal with the infected is to have someone gun them down.

@nightdrivenen7909 You went quite off the point, but more on topic, the clipboards all show the same results, and my statement implied "if they bought the clipboard". Chilled hit all three traits for infected, and anybody that has bought the clipboard would have seen it. The game is new though, so it's understandable why they don't know. You definitely went way off the mark with that explanation.

Should buy the invisibility medallion when you have the chance, basically can be used in those instances when in the in-between realm to go invisible buuut the only downside of it is in that you have to keep tabs on the amount of charge it has.

I like this game, but damn does it need some balance. The infected get WAY too much power. The in-between lasts forever so a kill is almost always guaranteed. The good guys have to do 21 tasks to escape? That’s almost impossible. The scan can be messed up by the other infected, which makes it mostly pointless. The torch did absolutely nothing. And the in between gets activated insanely quick. In this state, I honestly don’t even see how it’s possible for the good guys to win unless the bad guys just totally mess up.

Yet when one of the infected get spotted, everyone else alive can vote them off and all it takes is taking them down. And then boom - instantly voted out. The clipboard appears to reveal at least one of the infected perfectly - so it can help get someone kicked out a lot more reliably than the scanner then there is just gun happy allies who will shoot someone down on sight, as there is no punishment for gunning team mates down to make a plead case before two people cast them out with a vote. SO ultimately - the tasks are almost irrelevant other than to heal up sanity if you manage to escape during the In-Between, and the infected are not as all powerful as it seems; for they are not faster than the innocents. So if you are good at juking or getting to be able to teleport somewhere; you can cause a monster to lose sight and sound of you very easily. So while it does last long, it isn't impossible to have everyone survive it if lucky. Though I will admit, this game looks VERY hard to balance: If someone is just busting tasks left and right and the limit is too low or the In-Between builds too slow- the infected may not even get a chance to activate the In-Between at all before they escape. If the In-Between is too short, it can get the infected killed very quickly by people paying attention to who was chasing them when it ends which incentivizes the infected to use the group teleportation right before the In-Between ends. I would argue the game is too heavily balanced on just gunning people down - since it only takes two people to banish someone from the game without much time or room for arguments: meaning that the infected could use both the In-Between AND the normal rounds to eliminate people if they are good shots and avoid getting taken down. Since they appear to be in more coordinated contact with each other. But should they already be pre-voted on from the end game menu, then whoever the group just mass votes can be shot on sight and suffer no consequences without needing to worry about the rest of the game.

2017 was a fair while ago. I know that the covid years flew by as if they didn’t exist. It’s a bit hard to try out a complete overhaul with new mechanics without making a new game.

Junk has to be the single most tiresome person to play deception games with. He takes everything personally and will get butthurt mad at you just for playing your role. He's being obviously bad and you shoot him? "WHY WOULD YOU DO THAT?" You're evil and you take him out? "WHY WOULD YOU DO THAT?"

That's a part of the game to fake getting mad or even getting mad for real to throw off the sus on you and if he truly was butthurt he wouldn't be playing with the group. He's a grown man, he knows his limits but unfortunately some people don't think clearly and realize this.

I won't say it's not grating at times, but it's also part of the act. Some of the bitter talk after the game of Chilled and Larry being Infected is legit-he got eliminated wrongly purely off of Cheesy's call and then a dogpile of others, and it sucks in an elimination game where you just sit out instead of actually getting to play. But even then, he ended that bit with a laugh. I also don't like it most of the time and wish he'd change it up from Old Man Complaining, but it's been clear that he's been always joining the group for *years* of weekly deception games that he doesn't actually feel as frustrated as he acts.

It is granted that junk gets Sus just like Vikram whether they are good or bad. Thier opinions typically get ignored, and I understand that frustrating, especially when they are right. If they were bitter or upset, they voice it or not join games. Junk laughs it off, and he is fine.
