It's the Monopoly game we all grew up with as a kid...only this time its in 3D and the salt is even higher!
The game is broken and Ubisoft refuses to fix it. So we are playing "locally" via steam remote play. So when it crashes (And it will) we can load the save back up and not lose all of our progress

If anyone is curious (i.e I’m the biggest nerd ever) On his main channel plus this channel(2012-now), chilled has played 31 monopoly games of which he has won 16, lost 9, Had 3 ties due to computer crashes, and 3 that never finished where a winner couldn’t be determined. The problem I see every time chilled is playing against people is they always think a deal is just 2 sided. It's about positioning, the question isn't "how is this helping the other person" it's more about "how is this putting me in a better position?"

I agree. I think people's thinking is often too boxed in by the reputation Chilled has. They enter trades thinking "Oh god, what devious multistep plan of his am I playing into?" rather than thinking of a long term plan of their own and steering their trades in a direction that would fulfil that plan. Instead, they take the direction that they THINK Chilled is trying to go in and push the opposite way. Don't get me wrong, they SHOULD try and push back against whatever they think Chilled is trying to achieve, but I think that all too often its this pushing back that becomes their primary concern, rather than having it take the place of 'Secondary objective' as it probably should. Like you say, they only see the 'here and now' of the deals they make and focus on the pro's for the other trader within that 'here and now', rather than putting effort into increasing their own long term pro's.

The best thing about this is that they know that chilled is the biggest threat to all of them just by virtue of how he plays. But what they and most of the comments don't realize is that chilled has the knowledge and capability to turn other players success to his advantage. By not making deals with chilled early on, they ensure they will have to deal with him later when somebody else gets big and scary and because of that, they are forced to negotiate with chilled on his terms, not their own and that's the biggest mistake they all make all the time.

The deal didn't hurt him in any way whatsoever. It gave him the corner of death. The Oranges and Reds are the two best Monopolies in the game for cost of houses and money gained on landing, plus their position after Jail makes them extremely dangerous. Chilled regularly bullshits them and I don't understand why the listen. It's like for some reason if he says "This is a good deal for you, bad for me" despite all evidence to the contrary, they eventually just believe it. Were I in the game, I would have forfeited right there. There were plenty of bad trades beforehand that gave Chilled an _extreme_ advantage compared to everyone else, like Kara giving away all her damn money so Chilled was the only one who could buy houses, but the trade with Elaina for the Oranges gave Chilled the win, full stop.

Not really. It was an act of charity that would actively screw her over in the end. Sure, she wouldn’t drown but is only being able to keep your nose barely above the water any better? It wasn’t really a decision of charity or staying in the game, it was a decision of “How fast do I want to die?” But that’s the thing, she doesn’t *want* to die. She wants to *live*. So being offered a deal that would just keep her alive “for a little longer” isn’t going to be satisfying, ever, to anyone. Even if it’s coming from someone who wants to help. Of course she’s gonna want to try and get a better deal. Even if she logically knows it’s the only option she has, even if she knows she’s going to die, she wants to live. When she’s negotiating, she’s treating chilled like her Grim Reaper, and begging him to let her live. But chilled can’t let her live, she has to die at some point. But he’s being generous and giving her some more time. When you think of it like that. Of course she’d be hesitant. But she accepted because she knew it was better than nothing. Plus she’s a lot more bearable that some *certain girls from a few games ago grrr*

I can see both sides to this. I'm sort of neutral on it. On one hand, its exactly like Mikayla said. Why settle for 'prolonged struggle' if you have the opportunity to squeeze even a tiny bit extra out of the deal (which she succeeded in doing with the 50 reduction). But at a certain point it did border a bit on absurdity. Even after 5 minutes of everyone saying "Final decision Elaina?", she still stalled. It didn't frustrate me personally, but I can understand others getting a little bored with it past a certain point.

It's so frustrating watching these. Because chill is vicious we know that. And everything he does is for his benefit we know that. But in this instance Elena has no choice but to trade with him and she just drags it out. The one thing I hate about these monopoly games is everyone always being so undecisive and dragging things out when in reality they have no other option. So instead of spending like 25 minutes trying to deal with chilled. Take his bogus offer because at the end of the day that's what's going to keep you in the game. I would love to see him play more with Mark, but I don't think that Monopoly would be the right game for it. The shrewd businessman making multi faceted deals and the three goofs Mark, Bob and Wade pick pocketing one another willy nilly wouldn't make for a great dynamic. I'd love to see them play a game where Chilled isn't always playing for the win to uphold his monopoly reputation. Something like WormsWMD or a throwback to something like Gang Beasts or Toribash. Trying to figure out the best way to describe Chilled's play... People are so freaked out in accusing him of being sneaky or looking to rip you off in trades. ....but in any of his recent games that just is not the case. In fact, because their suspicion is so high, it forces him to actually have to take deals that slant more in favor of the other player. (And in this match in particular, while he was making a move strictly out of charity with absolutely zero motivation to actually trade....people still thought he was up to no good, lol). So I guess on that note, good for the other players. They are forcing Chilled into taking worse deals putting him at a disadvantage. When he made the trade to get a red monopoly at the expense of someone else getting yellow, he really got screwed in that one, but it was his only path forward. ...But then because his opponents really seem to lack the ability to properly value things on their own, that just ends up leading to them making colossal mistakes with each other. Was it Elaina trying to get a blue monopoly despite having none of those spaces??? Cheesy making a ridiculous play on the light blues also made little sense. If Chilled was playing cut throat, there's no way he would have let Cheesy complete his light blue monopoly. It's just all very strange to see play out, I guess. Chilled's biggest advantage seems to be that: While he pretty much got screwed in every single trade he made, he still made sure that every trade he did make still gave him at least a slim path to victory. Not sure I could say the same for everyone else. This probably should have been a close game between Chilled & Kara. Chilled definitely did great with some of his extra properties to make sure he outspent Kara in building up. No luck there, just some good skill. But to then see one immeidately hit AND collect two super bargaining chips with separate players? That's when this turned into a blowout.
