this is one of those songs that just speaks volumes. makes you think of so much, to the point my eyes sorta get watery. not even from being sad, just being reminded of how beautiful life is, once I just sit down, listen to a song like this, and reflect on everything that has made me smile (usually the quiet moments, just seeing family and friends smile under the sky, its all i need).

I found this when I was either in the 8th or 9th grade I think……and I’m 27 now. It’s amazing looking back on the daydreams of my future life and of love this song used to make me consider and imagine back then….. and comparing that to how things have happened now. Not what I thought😂, but hearing this again takes me back to an innocence I had more of back then, and it reminds me of who I used to be and to still have hope.

BEAUTIFUL SONG. Not really melancholy but more like quietly aching for a place you haven't been in ages. The feelings elicited by each instrument take me somewhere more spirit than flesh. A peaceful place, devoid of earthly suffering. Secondly; it's Uncanny how the song i hear in my head EVERY TIME i hear this song is "You Got To Go" by Above and Beyond. In March or April 2020 I found out I had a warrant oujt for my arrest for a felony (#4) drunk driving incident that happened over 3 years prior. I felt like the world was ending, even though I had cleaned up my act. The next day I went for a run around Belle Isle in Richmond, VA for several miles playing this song on repeat. It's a very beautiful area, and as I was crossing back over the bridge returning to my motorcycle to ride home this song came on for the first time and I was distraut. I remember pausing at the edge of the bridge leaning over the railing as the people walked and jogged past staring into the water and off into the distance to the city and thinking I could kill myself, or start shooting dope again. Something about the beauty of this song both encouraged me to give in, but to stand firm with a dark realistic hope.. I ended up beating my case without any penalty a year and half later. I dunno how to explain it. I listen to it every time I run now, with positive effect. It creates hope in me. I also dwell in the darkness it provides me as a comfort. Life is grey as a fusion of black and white, its better to not ignore but embrace the darkness to make way for the respect of the light. - Just Another Irrelevant Human
