I beat it with the punchpunchpunch combo (attack up M), immortal yukimura, immortal keiji, and kasa jizo (all level 40) to deal with peons, crazed Mohawk (lv 20), lion cat (lv 20+60) which could survive two hits, and shishilan (lv 40+1). Took about three tries with this set up but lots of failed attempts with similar setups beforehand.

Akira range is pretty much a problem, even though i like akira his Damage is low compared to other ubers he's about 7/10 in the uber ranking his "Attack Animation"(Not Time Between Attack) is sometime taking too long because Hermit Cat Has 12 Knockback, while shisilan have some problematic issues like akira he has great range and is the most heavy hitting unit in the game(Not DPS) and he has 100 Knockback making him really good for this stage where the boss can kill your tank unit easily, Diabolic Gao & Lil' Lion is all you need in this stage and a few heavy hitters, And Anubis have less knockback than miyamoku musashi which can get him killed more easily

akira's damage is higher damage is higher than musashi and he has higher dps than him, and im pretty sure he has higher range and hp than musashi. anubis is still better than mushi because of higher hp, regardless of how many knockbacks a cat unit has, hermit would still knock the unit back because of his high damage. anubis also has more survivabillity because of his range, i would understand why using something like keiji or mitama could be a bad idea, their overall range is low, but there is no excuse for not using akira or anubis over musashi.

to beat this stage you can use maniac lion and shockwave immune cats to deal damage to the boss, but the peons are the real problem with no gacha for me

you can solo this stage with 3 cats... musashi lil lion and zomboney (extra meatshield) use both research up cat combos to increasd cool down of lil lion and add sister act or any attack up cat combo to speed up the stage
