My brother jus passed away Sept 13th. I was looking thru some of his things nd found a raccoon stuffed animal, the tag on it said Chillhop. I googled it nd found this. Tears r running down my face, but also I feel a sense of comfort, knowing that this music brought him peace nd comfort. I love nd miss u Patrick William ❤️

There will come a time when the load is lighter. It never really goes completely away, but it is easier to carry. Kind of like the weight of a small pebble or worry stone; it does cease being a boulder. Remember, it's your grief journey, no one else's. Take the time and road you need to. I was trying to figure out why I loved this raccoon so much and it’s very clear. I was him. I moved to New York City as a teenager and wore earphones and hoodies and walked around everywhere. I lived in crazy tenement apartments. I rode the subway 24/7. Music was everywhere- record stores on every block, coffee shops were the social hangouts. It’s pre-9/11 New York and I miss it and being a youngster there. Thank you for showing me how far I’ve come and how lucky I was to experience it. I’ll always be a New Yorker. Always and forever.
