Chillin' with the polar bears at the ZOO

Chillin' with the polar bears at the ZOO Blijdorp in Rotterdam, the Netherlands on a rainy Monday afternoon. Soon after we stood in front of the polar bears my boyfriend Fabien noticed interaction with the youngest polar bear (1 year old) who's called Sizzle. They had such a fun time playing together!

had vorig jaar in Ouwehand Dierenpark een vergelijkbaar grapje met een van de jonge ijsberen daar: hij was erg geinteresseerd in mijn hoedje, en wilde die graag afpakken ;) erg leuk om zo met ze te spelen!

Beautiful animals, they are likely very used to people as they interact with the zookeepers. They look well cared for which is good, they are well fed they are not interested in people as food but as friends.

I am completely all about animal rights and welfare and I do not visit zoos or circuses. It is sad to have their freedoms taken from them. However, I do not see these people as bad people. The bears do not seem to be agitated or aggressive. They look as if they needed some stimulation and this fella gave them some. That young bear is playing and looking as if it is having a decent time. Sad, they have to live this way, but cute that they got the attention them seemed to want and need for just alittle while.

I agree, we all need to live environmentally sustainably too so polar bears can successfully live in the wild. This young one loves to play, the zoo keepers likely play with her/him too so s/he is used to people.
