The Batibat is a vengeful demon found in Ilocano folklore. In Tagalog folklore, the creature is called Bangungot. These demons were blamed as the cause of the fatal nocturnal disease called bangungot. A batibat takes the form of a huge, old, fat woman that resides in trees. They usually come in contact with humans when the tree in which they reside is felled and made into a support post for a house. This causes them to migrate into holes found in the post. The batibat forbids humans from sleeping near its post. When a person does sleep near it, the batibat transforms into its true form and attacks the person. It sits upon the chest of its victim until they suffocate. To ward off the batibat, one should bite one's thumb or wiggle one's toes. In this way, the person will awaken from the nightmare induced by the batibat.

That’s because she is a “grandma”. The demon was based on a Philippine Urban Legend, the Batibati, which is basically an old, fat witch that sits (yep, you read it right) on people’s chest and cause nightmares on them.

The meaning of Batitbat from the Ilocano folklore of the Philippines. In Tagalog it's called 'bangungot'. It means "nightmare". The folklore Batibat is obese, but here in caos it looks more sexy to be honest lol.

This is a version of Batibat, a creature from Filipino folklore. However in the folklore the Batibat is always very overweight and it sits on the victims as they sleep and induces nightmares and sleep paralysis. If the clvictim manages to bite his own tounge or wiggle his toes, the spell can be broken. Batibat literally translates to nightmare.

The navajos play with strings too, but only in the winter, theres one similar to what sabrina was doing, but we call it the rug
@mrshinywillow88674 жыл бұрын
native american call it “string game” (i’m a navajo) we only play it during the winter, the reason why is because if we play it during the hotter seasons, we would wake up with spider bites on our body in the next morning. pretty weird but it’s true, but what sabrina made was the dream catcher/rug and which i might say is a hard move to make

mawell loz It's a shot of Aunt Zelda and Hilda sleeping. The stone object is a metronome to keep them from waking up from their nightmares. After Sabrina traps Batibat, it stops and they wake up.
