Fun fact, the calculator poketch app in Diamond/Pearl/Platinum makes the cry of the Pokémon at the same Pokédex number as the calculated result. So if you RNG a number into the app you will hear a random cry if it’s within the Pokédex range.

So, this might be an unpopular opinion, but I think you guys should start using berries, even if its just the basic oran/ sitrus berries. It would open up a lot of moves and abilities and make them not completely useless.

Balls Challenge: Use random encounters. You get 1 master ball, 2 ultra balls, 3 great balls, and unlimited pokeballs. If a catch fails, you must skip that pokemon for the remainder of the challenge.

I like the type changes. It would be better if the game didn't tell you that your move was super effective to make it more of a challenge to figure out the other team before you go down, but there's not really anything that you can do about that.

@@ColJack100 I think it's for everyone's benefit. It gives new players knowledge that you or I have ingrained in our memory forever, and it allows someone like us to click on the move with yellow text, or switch in someone who has such a move, without even having to read the move. It saves time not thinking about it, just clicking it. There should be an option to turn it off, however, at least in online battles.

@@saul-goodman you know, it reminds me on minecraft. At my time,there was no cooking book. You figured things out yourself, by goolgling and such. It made you feel accomplished. Now, this cooking book takes that feeling out, it oversimplifies things, I dont like it. A game should be demanding. There are npcs who tell you what is effective against what (at least there should). Understanding the game should be done like this, not by hand holding.

The Alphabetical Order Battle. Going through the overworld, you can go about catching any pokemon you want, but, you have to catch them in order by name. So if you catch a pokemon who's name starts with a G first, then you cant catch any who's name status with A-F afterwards. You can go back to previous areas if you explore, but you.can break the order.

I’d like the random types more, but do it in a game where you guys can’t tell wether a move is super effective or not until it hits. That way you add some more mystery and excitement to it. In S&S you get to see what moves are super effective before use and from your party selection screen. This makes a lot of the excitement from the randomness less fun.

Challenge idea for Sword and Shield. Pick a randomized starter. Then spin a wheel labeled 1-4. This correlates to the pokemons moveset. Lets say you get 3 and the move is bug type. That means you can only catch the next random bug type you see in the overworld. Whether its a baby, a decent, a not so decent, or a legend. Moves will be completely random to make things interesting Do this until you get a full team. You get 3 skips that have to be used... then wait for it! You swap teams with each other for the ultimate twist

Do the pokemon cry quiz that gives you 3 options to choose from. Make a full cycle of 10 and you get to choose from those you had correct. If you have 7 or more - choices 6 - keep all Less than 6: tough luck
