What I like about idm, especially the really minimal ambient stuff with just an almost generative synth melody with shit tons of release and crazy but minimal drum beat, is it makes me feel like my life’s a video game, and I’m on a mission, it’s such a weird feeling but I’m in love with it. I can compare it to something like journeying an unknown world
