Onioshow

Onioshow

It was islam that brought me to buddhism. I was born to Suffi muslim family. In 'haqq' or truth, all manifestations are one. Buddhism to ritualistic hinduism is exactly what sufism is to Islam. It is unfortunate that so many of our muslim brothers are stuck in 'zaher' of religion or the Samsara. They look at the outside in search of an absent non-existing deity. The buddha, like the imam in sufi Islam, is the refuge of all living things. We bow in reverence to spiritual guests who keep the path to truth alive, by taking it on behalf of all the suffering creatures.
@cultmecca

Question. Are you still Muslim but Buddhist as well or have you left Islam behind for Buddhism? I'm atheist, no arguments about anything, I'm genuinely curious as religion is an interesting topic to me. Thanks in advance for answering if you see this question

@@cultmecca I practice meditation mahamudra tradition, but I also love the Quran. I think mahamudra has a superior path because it clarifies and is more rooted in the universal mind. Islamic suffism is essential for the ibrahamic world. For example imbedded in no god but God is negation and affirmation. Negation of all deities and then affirmation of the living universal. In Buddhism they call it emptiness of self emptiness of other. It is the same method of negating the exterior. That said, I would say my faith is not dogmatic. I am a seeker of truth inَ manifestation wherever it lies.

Heart Sutra is dialogue between Avalokeswara (Buddha of Compassion) and Shariputra one of the favourite disciple of Buddha on "Emptiness" while Buddha himself was in deep meditation. At the end of the dialogue Buddha woke himself from meditation and said to Shariputra that what ever said by Avalokestwara is correct.

This is still the best song I've ever heard in my whole life. Hearing it, still brings me to tears as I'm compelled to close my eyes and remind myself how warm and comforting it is to be filled with compassion. This song is a loving hug to my soul; a lovers embrace that I will always receive as I give unto my beloved, but it still goes deeper than that. It is deeply rooted b4 my birth; in the womb, where there's nothing but the rhythmic beating of my mothers heart and the ever enveloping warmth

Follow your own heart to the road of selflesness and salvation (enlightenment) and you will find that everything exists in this place. Nothing is left behind and everything is connected in this place. The nature of this place will be one of love, compassion, morality, truth, equality and equinemity. This place is not the past or the future but the existence of the present. This place is inside of you & you are inside of it. This place is right here, right now. With you, I, us. We ARE this place.

+Nihaar2121Dharmicwarrior Long live the dharma and the dharma law and all other philosophies and religions that may follow it each in their own way. As such one is not better than the other and the other is not better than the one. All share the same essence as such they are all not wrong but neither are they truly right. It depends solely on yourself, the person to completely submit to it's laws...or not. Each person is born free in essence but is shaped by it's surroundings and experiences. If one chooses to follow the path that is considered evil, then let him be. As long as he does not harm other he is harmless. If he does his reward will come sooner or later. If one decides to follow the path that is considered good, let him be but he must not try to force people in accepting his ways. He can only show them the possibilities of what can, could be or could have been. Namasté, As salamu aleiykum, Dominus vobiscum, and in the name of many others i greet you as an equal.

As a christian I tried to understand lots of things in the bible and it was so hard. When I exposed myself to buddhism I found lots of answers and certain truths also in the bible but which is actually not made clear in the bible. Right now I can not strictly define my religion between buddhism and christianity. But what I can say about it, it is that which gives me peace, respect for humanity and appreciation for life.

the buddha should be considered a spiritual scientist. While modern science focuses on material things and quantitatively increase how much humans have but it has not increased human happiness. Indeed, buddhism is a science that focuses on the ultimate goal of human existence which is to finally be satisfied and happy.

@zn4612 The Dalai Lama loves Chinese despite Chinese unimaginable oppression by China in Tibet. Invaded, occupied and oppresses Tibetans people even after 65 plus years of Chinese colonial rule. Chinese didn't want the Japanese rule China. But China doesn't want the world not to talk about Tibet, Human Rights, occupation and violent daily interference in lives of Tibetan people.

Thank you for posting this beautiful version of the Heart Sutra and the words. Listening to it makes me feel a little better in this very sad time, and helps me remember both how impermanent all life is, and yet how interconnected we all truly are. Namaste.

I first watched this video a while ago , making a mental note to myself to "check out who this Buddha is all about" sometime in the future. Well, life went on :) And here I am again.... i have realized that my old views of being "right" and "good" because i'm muslim and others going to hell because they're "disbelievers" and "bad" are meaningless.. we are all equal no matter our beliefs and we all deserve peace and happiness. thank you so much for uploading this, it is truly beautiful.

The reply you got from Winston Webb was beautiful and accurate. During his solitary meditation, he gained insight into the cause and ending of sorrow, and shared something of what he learned in the 4 Noble Truths. The essence is that sorrow ends when addictive craving, judgmental negativity, and obscuring delusions end. All of these mental poisons are fed by an illusory sense of self created and sustained by thought. An intuitive silent awareness penetrates this illusion and becomes free.
