Wow.... this song man. I remember how much I replayed it when I was younger. I think somehow when I was little and I didn't like my parents jazz, I tried to listen to this as a way to connect to them on my own. I didn't like jazz, but I liked this, and it gave me the same feelings they said that jazz gave them. A kinda stupid reason to like it so much, but I think it was much needed escapism at that time in my life.

At least, that would be how Eyewitness Memory works.

The picture and the girl really reminds me of Alice from "Alice In Wonderland". Yey. I've just thought of a short story to go with this. She walked across the beam quietly, distant footsteps coming from everywhere else but her. Below, were crowds and buskers in the large town, winter 'flakes blurring view. Of course, everyone knew of the endless winter. The girl got to the other side, looking out from a random balcony. The cat near her perched on the beam, also looking out. The girl's name was "White-Rose Winter" - or at least that was what she was called. The beam townspeople saw her on was called "The Rose Arch". In a lonely house somewhere near the town of Winter-Thorn, a woman was waiting for her child. The woman's child had been missing for a year . . . and all the woman did was type on her typewriter, creating fantasies for the child once she returned home. The woman could no longer tell if her child was alive or dead - only missing. The townspeople regularly ask the child to come down from the rooftops. The girl either doesn't say anything and keeps skipping along the icy roofs, or replies with, "Have you seen her . . . have you seen my mother? She said she'd wait for me outside the gate but she didn't come . ." Newcomers to the town of Winter-Thorn often ask the townsfolk of the lore. Any thoughts on this? ^^
