I think chess pieces are distributed according to opposite ideals. 1. Pyro and Hydro = knight War and Justice. There is never justice in wars. 2. Dendro and Electro = bishop Wisdom and Eternity. Eternity implies abandoning progress, and wisdom makes us look for new knowledge and strive for discoveries and research. 3. Cryo and Geo = Rook Love and Contracts. There is no place for feelings in contracts, only strict compliance with the rules. 4. Anemo and Celestia = queen and king Freedom and Control. I think the king is personified by Celestia, which controls Teyvat, so it can be opposed to Freedom, the ideal of Anemo Archon.

One of Hoyoverse's central themes is "civilisation", Honkai questioned if civilisation requires "humanity" to exist, Genshin is all about understanding civilisation and culture, Star Rail is about the paths taken by vastly different civilisations. The Gnosis each represent an aspect of civilisation, Anemo allowed Venti to terraform giving humans the ability to farm, Geo let Zhongli create money, leading to economy and trade, Electro allowed Ei to create machines and artificial intelligence, Dendro turned Nahida into the internet, allowing knowledge to flow freely. These aspects of civilisation are also not all positive, each of them are also source of problems for civilisation and the world, terraforming destroys ecosystems, the squirrels at Golden Apple Archipelago talks about habitat displacement, money is the source of greed and corruption, AI and internet are the 2 most modern problems from surveillance, data manipulation to Scaramouche trying to cause the robopocalypse. The Gnosis represents the pros and cons of technology affecting civilisation and it's trying to question if it's better or worse for us to stop relying on technology or at least recognise the effects of technology on our world. Celestia may have initially given the Gnosis to Archons to help humanity, but at some point the Gnosis became a Pandora's Box, releasing all sorts of sins and evils into the world. If there's any thing closest to the Seven Deadly Sins, it's the Gnosis, the Archons are the Demon Gods who spread sin into the world. Each Archon are willing to part with the Gnosis because they realised that the net pros and cons mean that the Gnosis don't provide any more value over what humanity themselves can already achieve. They were meant to kick start civilisations, and now that civilisations are prospering, maybe it's time to let humans take over and be responsible for themselves.

@@EastWindZephyr Venti defeated Decarabian 2000 years ago, the same time that the Archon war ended and Venti ascended to godhood and became Archon, which means he received the Gnosis right then. He then used his new powers to terraform Mondstadt. Erosion comes from being immortal, maybe a Gnosis provides additional immortality and erosion, but is not the main source.

@@GuyWithAnAmazingHat According to the fandom wiki, Venti and the rebellion was 2600 years ago and 600 years prior to the end of the Archon War (2000 years ago), he ascended to godhood and terraformed Mondstadt before receiving the Gnosis 600 years after. And the Gnosis might be giving the Archons extra powers but they don't really need it, they are already the winners of the war and powerful, it is more of a reward after they already won the Archon War (They did not receive the Gnosis and then use it to win the Archon War beforehand). And it might be used by the Heavenly Principles to control them, that might be why the Archons want to cut ties with Celestia.

I’m pretty sure none of the harchons are going to be a pawn mostly because a pond can switch between pieces like how certain traveler can switch between elements just because Hydro has its ability to take any shape doesn’t really mean that it’s necessarily talking about the gnosis can very well be based on the current Hydro archon who only cares about appearance plus a pawn is such a basic and an interesting piece for a God to have all of the icons are most likely going to have the seven chess pieces of the game

Agreed, it's curious that our two original archons happen to have queen and rook, the 'heavy' pieces you'd most want to checkmate the enemy king. Could be why the Tsaritsa went after them first, as well as why Venti and Zhongli were able to endure even while the rest of their pantheon didn't. I also like the idea of the Tsaritsa having the other rook because two rooks and a queen gives you Alekhine's Gun. Overall I'm just really excited to see where her quest to tear down the divine goes.

if i had to guess at the remaining gnoses, i feel like the easiest method is to look at what we know about the elements of teyvat and how they pair up. specifically, slimes! cryo and geo slimes both create sturdy armor for themselves, so the cryo gnosis is likely another rook. electro and dendro slimes both have a stem, so pairing those elements as bishops works. pyro and hydro slimes are paired with horns, so they'll probably be our missing knights. anemo slimes fly which is it's own thing with freedom as you said, so the queen makes sense.

I think Paimon is the pawn piece. Small, slow, often gets stuck, easily sacrificed? (Plus, if you erase some of the letters from her name, you get P--on. Checkmate, Fatui!) This would mean that Paimon has the potential to become promoted, however…

You know what I think about Tsaritsa's goal? My theory is that her plan to steal all Gnoses and combine their power to destroy Celestia/reform Teyvat started from the Abyss twin. See, we know our twin has already travelled through Teyvat. What if, on their journey, the Tsaritsa who publicly rules her nation as a monarch, witnessed their ability with elements? This is, of course, based on the fact that our sibling also has harnessed the power of elements before. We don't know if they ever touched a Statue of The Seven. But considering how they have restored their 'light' powers (based on their outfit in cutscenes), while also wielding abyssal power (based on how in the 'We Will Be Reunited' cutscene, Dain, Abyss Herald and our twin can use the portal, but we walk right past through it), it's possible that they combined the power of all seven elements to form one element of light. Perhaps the Tsaritsa saw this. Hell, there's probably proof that the Fatui uses abyssal powers, or something similar to it. Childe, a person affected and taught in the Abyss is among their ranks. They adamantly research ruin guards. Scaramouche has been to the Abyss multiple times. During the battle with Osial and during the confrontation in front of the Cathedral, we see Fatui agents use portals not dissimilar to the ones the Abyss Herald uses. Who knows what other connections the Tsaritsa has to the Abyss, maybe even our twin themself? We know that the Loom of Fate project consisted of creating a god. Isn't that literally what happened during Sumeru Archon quest? The Dottore literally tested the theory of creating a fake deity with just one Gnosis; Just what _can_ the Fatui do with all the seven? And, if the ultimate goal of both the Tsaritsa and the Abyss is to bring down Celestia, then doesn't that make it a mutual goal? And that's completely ignoring how the Archons are silently on board with this. They barely resist, if at all. Venti didn't fight Signora. Zhongli literally traded his Gnosis. Ei didn't even care. Nahida traded the Gnosis better than even Zhongli did. Which brings me to the most important question: Just what in the world is going on in Teyvat? (A fun sidenote to add. People usually forget that Wanderer knows about the skies of Teyvat, just like Dottore. Venti implies that he can't fly to Celestia, despite being a winged creature, implying that there must be something off about skies in Teyvat. Nahida now knows about this as well. There's a high chance that even our twin knows. Yet, for some odd reason, nobody tells the Traveler just what is up with the sky. Wanderer calls the skies a 'hoax', Dottore calls them 'fake'. But this is well-kept as a secret from the Traveler. Why?)

I think it's a secret for everyone. Mona knows that the sky is fake, but she thinks it's a metaphor, not a literal fact, just a word for some point in the sky, like the Black Moon in our astrology. And in Sumeru there is an astronomer who tries to prove that Teyvat is round, but he fails to understand why he can't. Since this is one of the sins decreed by the Academy and Celestia, it's crucial for Celestia that nobody on Teyvat could be discover that the sky is fake, otherwise they would seek what is beyond. And Celestia doesn't want that. 🤷

As for the gnosis debate, Nahida and Zhongli did what they did from a strategic standpoint. Nahida, HAD to trade the gnosis because she knew she didn’t have the ability to fight Dottore, so instead she made a trade: erase your clones, gain the gnosis. Zhongli, he did it because for one, he wanted/believe it was time for him to retire. The other reason I think, is because he wants to help the cause of the Tsaritsa, but can’t afford to be directly involved if it turns out they can’t defeat celestia, and to me, he doesn’t seem like a man to move on a hunch or a probability that could be this uncertain.

Based on Genshin's parent/sibling game Honkai and recent Star Rail, it seems to be the case. The Tsarita's and Harbingers endgame plan might be Genshin's version of Finality to some extent. The light and abyss realm being on odds against each other holds the concept of Imaginary and Quantum being opposing forces. Regarding the fake sky, Honkai already given an answer regarding Teyvat's creation. Though they might use different but related terms to set both stories different, but same core narrative.

Maybe not just chess as comparison but every strategy game? Even 'Go' is a strategy game.., Chinese chess as it is often called; has a board where the king can't leave "the palace", only the pawns on each side can cross into the other sides territory.. Perhaps a comparison of what we know the situation in Teyvat is to every strategy game premise (as in if celestia is now a shut in that isolates itself the theoretical king unable to leave his palace- or "the game isn't over even if the king falls", idea; might have some value by looking in other strategy games). 'Western Chess' per se is just something most recognize, whereas if say they used Chinese Chess, the Japanese equivalent, some Russian or European or African game, few would know the value- i.e if the fatui in that trailer were playing another game it wouldn't be as easily understood.

I think that Focalor's Gnosis would be a Bishop, because if we follow the idea that Ei's and Makoto's Gnosis is one due to their different views. We know that Focalor isn't the original Hydro Archon and that she has a different way of the ruling from the previous one. Natlan's Gnosis is probably a knight, since it would be the first of it's kind we'd see in the story (counting that Hydro's a Bishop). The Cryo's Gnosis could be a rook, like Zhongli for having strong ideals, or a Knight, for being unpredictable. Nahida's is a bit difficult to guess because, while she does have a strong sense of her ideals, I don't really see her being the same as Zhongli. (While the Cryo Archon seems to be very much like him, they were able to negotiate and reach an agreement for the Gnosis trade)

I think the King-piece is gonna be the unknown god due to the hypothesis that she is Azmodai, who is the Ars Goetia; was the king of all earthly demons. It is my theory (which is heavily based of the idea that the unknown god is Azmodai) that the unknown god has power and authority over the archons (who are the earthly demons) working as an intermediary between them and the greater divine, and like the chestpiece, has for the most part taken a rather inactive role throught the most part but will likely make an appearence later in the story. Thats my idea atleast.

Here's my theory. After the traveler was sealed away and got his light powers taken away..... where did his powers go in the first place? My theory is that the travelers powers were sealed away in the 7 gnosis split into 7 different elements. Than some time mambo jumbo happened and the gnosis were sent back in time to start the archon war or something like that. Idk just some stupid crap I came up with.

About Ascension I think that the 5 star quest items that we are getting from every region will be the way to ascend to celestia I hope you guys remember dainslief words from genshin impact official video of teyvat storyline preview contains spoiler's where in the beginning dainslief said that " The gods goes us on with promise of their seven treasures reward for the worthy and doorway to divinity" I think the 5star quest items so far we've received is the same items that dainslief was talking about and it'll be the only way for us to ascend to Celestia and for genosis I don't know I can't tell but I guess it has something to do with summoning something or someone or it'll be used to harness the power of the sevens as you said I have another theory which says that these genosis will be used to do something with Khaenri'ah and with the people of Khaenri'ah maybe it has to do with their immortality curse or with the unknown entity so far know as "Sinner" @chillwithaster please reply in comments and lemme know your thoughts regarding this one and other people as well I have a lot to say but I can't express it in words especially in comments thank you guys if you made this far and read this thank you for listening to my thoughts byebye......

I know this might seem very far-fetched but what if the cryo archon is gathering the gnosis' to defeat Celestia by making a puppet to hold this power, as you said the gnosis is unable to give new power but instead enhance it. So far we know descenders are not under teyvats law and may be able to use all elements as shown by the traveller. I believe the traveler's sibling could be this puppet although not a descender as they have been "intertwined" into teyvats fate but may possess similar abilities as the traveller. If you consider the traveller's sibling is fake this could suggest that either one of the two scenarios happened : the traveller's sibling is based upon the travelers description of the traveller's sibling when the traveller awakened for the first time then fell once again into a coma (got this theory of ventis voiceline saying "ah Traveler, We Meet Again!" or the traveller's sibling is undercover possibly as another harbinger as stated in another one of your videos as the fake (the one which has memories recorded) is a decoy for Celestia and the reason why the sibling is not recorded by the fatui as a descender is for utmost secrecy I believe that once all the gnosis are collected this will be the end of Celestia as the traveller's sibling has what I'm presuming a distrust and hate due to everything that has happened ps this is a theory I just come up with that links some of the point, and I may be completely wrong just adding some though by all means criticise or add extra points I forgot

I theorize that they are in that shape because Celestia was playing a massive game of chess. Especially during the cataclysm or they were trying to, for I don’t think that whole situation went as planned. We were told all the archons were sent to Khaenri'ah but as time goes on we know now that two weren’t there. I also think they probably are like tainted gifts have power apologies but also link them to Celestia and maybe have tracking feature perhaps even influence over the archon. If that’s the case it would make perfect sense when given opportunity they are all like nope I don’t want this. Especially newer archons cause they don’t have a contract or deal with Celestia like OG’s did cause they inherited the gnosis. I think as they game progresses we will find that the remaining archons either already don’t have there gnosis or just give it away easily who knows. Tsaritsa is probably collecting them to play her own game of chess/ control the situation. Perhaps she knows more of what they are compared to other archons. She obvi has a war against Celestia I think. Them giving away there Gnosis is maybe them giving away Celestias control over them.

My thought was that the gnoses are what create gods in the first place. Venti said that he was a little elemental being before he became a god, so gods are first lesser elemental beings. And before the primordial one came to Teyvat, the elemental/light realm and the abyss existed in harmony ruled by the dragons. There were no gods before Celestia raised Teyvat-native elemental beings up to godhood. And the primordial one created the human realm along with Irminsul and the ley line system. Then there was the second who came, and only then did gods appear, suggesting that it was the battle between the primordial and the second that created gods, and Heavenly Principles seems to be the treaty between them, or a good/evil duality balance between the two. The gnoses are a part of the treaty, allowing only seven gods to rule over the human realm (and prevent the dragons from rising up and retaking Teyvat) in their respective territories, and create "offspring" gods at their discretion. Without a gnosis, they can't create descendants to become the next archons.

Hear me out. The Tsaritsa is Istaroth. You remember how venti said that they were very close before the cataclysm? We know that Venti and Istaroth were very close as well and Istaroth suddenly disappeared. Maybe the reason the Tsaritsa wants to rebel is to bring back the primordial one and destroy the second who came. She can only do that by creating a new god - the traveler. She wants to merge the gnosis to create a light gnosis and make the god of the new world.

What if the fatui are secretly on our side and the endgame is to power the traveller (who can use all elements) up to fight the heavenly principles. I don't know if that theory is super old. I'm new to the game, but I think it could be possible, at least.

The Tsaritsa probably does want to summon someone, but it’s not the Heavenly Principles. If she were truly wanting to change Teyvat, how would she go about it in the most efficient way? More than likely through changing fate, and I think she’s intending to try and summon Istaroth to do that.

i've thinked about the superweapon theory a lot lately, specially with the info we got in the new Nahida legendary quest. So basically gnosis are like super elemental power batteries, and in the quest we see Nahida worried about the death of the Dendro dragon beacuse if he died, then all the elemental energy he has would make plants grow out of control and destroy everything, wich means destroying a gnosis would generate the same or even a bigger effect, but thats just 1 gnosis, now imagine the power of 7 of them concentrated into a weapon, probably to destroy celestia floating island, and as the reason why she is collecting all its that, if she were to use her own individual gnosis only, it would wake up the heavenly principles, but if she has all of them, she might have a chance in case the heavenly principles arrive, tho independent of her plan she might fail at the end, cuz i dont think celestia would be stupid enough to give 7 powrfull beings elemental power batteries without any restriction or counter measure in case they turn against them, another reason to believe she doesnt want to destoy everything in the world or massive genocide its beacuse of the fatuis, why would they follow someone who wants massive murder? specially childe, he seems to have big respect and loyalty for her but he also cares about his family, why would he accept that kind of plan. Another posibility its that the fatui are releated to the abyss order, we know that they will play an important role at the end, and if the theory of Pierro being from khaenri'ah its true, then what if in the end he tricks the tsaritsa and gives the gnosis to the abyss order, after all i dont think they plan to destroy celestia with just a robotic snake, but a robotic serpent with the power of all gnosis + abyssal energy? thats op, the main reason for this its that one animation where the fatui fight between them and Pierro got all the gnosis, also cuz when they say that some of the fatui harbinger are stronger than archons themselves

The chess piece counterpart can be identified by the shape of the top of gnoses. Anemo gnosis has a coronet-shaped top so it's a queen piece. Geo gnosis' top looks like a crenellated battlement so it's a rook. Electro gnosis has the shape of the samurai headpiece, particularly the crest, and the samurai is often referenced as the knight's japanese counterpart, so I speculate (still) that it's a knight piece. I agree that the dendro gnosis should be a bishop. In standard (Staunton) chess piece set, the bishop piece has the top shaped like the mitre, so the gnosis' top would shape like whatever their sage/scholar/priest/divine entity counterpart wear on their heads, like a turban or what headgear the hindu/persian gods wear. Ps. Coincidentally, the queen piece has a coronet topped with an orb called 'monde' which means 'world' in French, and is the plural form of 'mond' in German. So they should've included the orb in the Anemo gnosis for the obvious reason.

on the bishop analogy i think that kusanali is supposed to have the same color bishop as her element emphasizes growth and her ideals are around growing up and gaining knowledge while raiden is supposed to have the opposite color bishop since her current ideals of eternity are contradictory to the ephemeral quality of lightning and this can get even more interesting when you think that before the celestia incident the bishops might have been switched around with makoto holding the ideals of living in the moment and rukkadevata being the one that created the akasha system to trap knowledge almost as if the pieces switched colors during that event also scholar mate is made always with same color bishop also regarding the tsaritsa's goal.... it is probably a case of peace by war or heroism through villainy since the cryo element has the habit of having contradictory characters

We DO know when the Gnoses were created. Or at least a rough estimate. And they were created after the human game, because humans were around when they were created. The Archon war happened somewhere between 6 and 2 thousand years ago. Zhongli was around as a regular Adeptus (illuminated beast) before the Archon war. And an Archon is just a god or otherwise powerful being that has been given a Gnosis to act on behalf of the primordial one in exchange for receiving a good amount of power. Also we know from Before Sun and Moon that humans have been around ever since the primordial one first created the world, as he did what he did to keep humans happy. The second who came arrived after that, likely heralding the Archon war in the process. So humans were around for a long time before the archon war even began, meaning the gnoses were likely shaped after human-invented chess pieces. Also the 7 chess pieces are interesting. I’ve come to the conclusion that the primordial one themselves or Celestia have an 8th gnosis. There are only 6 unique chess pieces. King, Queen, Bishop, Knight, Rook, and Pawn. If these were all the gnoses there would only be 6. What’s more likely is that there isn’t any pawn, and that there are 2 rooks, 2 knights, 2 bishops, and a Queen. Totaling 7 pieces. The pawns are probably vision bearers. And the King is likely the Primordial one. As for why Venti got the Queen gnosis despite being arguably the weakest of the archons before gaining a Gnosis; it probably has something to do with his connection to Istaroth, who was herself a shade of the primordial one, who is also heavily connected to Venti.

As to why the Tsaritsa is collecting the Gnosis, my theory is, that she can only challenge Celestia by stripping off their control over Teyvat via the Gnosis. I think that the Gnosis are channel "Knots" throughout Teyvat, with which celestia has control over the world and the Archons are just "Guardians" of that "surveillance and control system" if you will. By Gathering them all in one place, the Gnosis lose their purpose and power, as each Gnosis has a specific function in their respective region. And once the Archons realised that, they started to search for new ways to use the Gnosis or even to get rid of it since it is not really that useful to them personally. I even like to think that at least Venti, if not all of the Archons would gladly give it to Tsaritsa without hesitation, but since they´re still under surveillance, they played along the game of chess, which the Tsaritsa started, to purposefully lose the Gnosis to her. Zhongli made a fair trade, as did Yae Miko and Venti gave it up, without putting up much of a fight either. Only Nahida so far still needs her Gnosis for the Akasha/Dream System probably, since it´s also a surveillance system, just like the Gnosis itself. Maybe she has a greater Plan for her Gnosis or maybe she simply didn´t realise yet, that Celestia needs to be shut down and the Samsara needs to break. Also, depending what kind of character Focalor is, she might also hold on to her Gnosis, as she deems it necessary to hold control over her nation and does not want to work against celestia (yet). Venti, Zhongli and Ei on the other Hand have enough reasons to break the cycle and shut down celestia. Seeing has how secretive Zhongli and Venti are, I suspect this is what they hope Tsaritsa will eventually achieve. However, this whole theory is based on the assumption that celestia really IS the bad guy here. Seeing how the Abyss Order don´t really seem to be the good guys either, i am curious how this plays out and how the whole Descenders/first/second-who-came thing takes the place in this grand scheme.

I would figure aside from what is [assumed to be] obvious, the speculation that the gnosis do have more important features than we’ve been lead to believe, it also has a sort of sealing power, in which, the archons can be controlled if they step out of line and/or do go against the Heavenly Principles. You said the gnosis are (likely) elemental enhancers and they’re “prizes” of the Archon War, I agree with that, but it would make a lot more sense, considering how lore revolved genshin is, if they have alternative less blessing-like purposes. Especially considering if this truly is all there is to it, it would completely trivialize the idea of the Gods, the Archon War, and the Gnosis. With that being said, I can’t help but feel like we’re missing a GIANT vital piece of information regarding the Archon War and obviously, the gnosis. Now, another theory (more of an idea), and food for thought, regarding the dormancy and inactivity of the Primodial One, is because they’re dead… (ABSOLUTELY JUST AN IDEA FOR DRAMATIC EFFECT AND ENTERTAINMENT, I have NOTHING to back up this theory.)

I'm not 100% on it, but it could be that it's revealed at some point that everyone with a Vision is considered a pawn in this top down view of the game. The spheres could be the top part of the pieces, if you squint, and the importannce of people given a Vision compared to a Gnosis could be analog to the chess pieces, capable of change and of turning the game, but not powerrful enough on their own comparedto other pieces. There's also the meaning of Gnosis, which if I remember correctly it's "to know", and observation is the first step to knoweledge, so the holders of a Vision can become those who know as they ascend to Celestia, like a pawn reaching the end of the board. Though I guess not all gods have a Gnosis so that doesn't necessarily fit, but reaching Celestia still would give themsecret knowledge. Plus I think it fits with themes that have been appearing in Genshin for a while. Celestia using people for their purposses, even the Archons, the questions raised if the gods would give Visions without asking anything in return, if they can be trusted. It could be humans and gods are both being used, the gods, Archons specifically, simply know about the larger game, while the pawns are left in the dark. Idk, I don't think it fits everything, but it might work to some extent.

Kind of how like, in a game of chess, the one controlling everything is not the king piece, but the person playing. Maybe Celestia is playing against another force? What do you think? random add on: a reason why queens and rooks would be 'major' while knights and bishops are 'minor' might have to do with what those two can do: the queen can go anywhere [basically] and the rook can be used to 'castle', a strategic move that immediately shoves the king into the corner away from an enemy. as such they could be major pieces because they can be some of the most instrumental in both offense and defense where as a knight or bishop are just pieces that 'move weirdly' in comparison Also: it's possible that the tsaritsa/fatui aren't actually able to take on celestia right now [whether due to not actually being able to summon them or because they can't survive the fight] and as such if the chess game only represents the current gnosis retrieval rather then the entirety of their plans [I've seen this somewhere, it was pointed out that if you include the previous AI then you get 7 games] then the game wouldn't end at check or check mate because that's not that games goal, each games goal is some random [except not random] piece on the board

I think the question of which came first, the game or the pieces, is answered by the existence of the gigantic Shatranj board in sumeru. In real life chess is a direct DESCENDANT of the game of shatranj, which predates it by almost a millenia. with sumeru being one of the more ancient nations, in terms of the scale of their history, I do think celestia picked chess as it is familiar to humankind.

I think there's nothing so far saying the gnosis have always had that shape. For me it comes down to the question of the statues as well. They've been skating by this so far with "oh she had a twin that's why it doesn't look different" or "Oh despite that cutscene Rukidiahta just happens to look exactly like Nahida". But it's still on my mind. When Venti defeated Decarabian and became the archon did the statue change? Or was it another coincidental lookalike. Plot twist: Venti's dead friend was Decaeabian all along >.> ...Anyway the point is they look like chess pieces now but they could very well have had another shape before chess existed.

Leaning on the theory of the pairs, i guess, Nahida would be another bishop, as Tsaritza and Murata will be the knights, as Focalors will be another rook. Geo and Hydro as the rooks cuz contracts and justice are the grounds of the world. Electro and Dendro as Eternity(tradition) and Wisdom(knowledge) as the bishops, and cryo and pyro as the knights, just cuz these were the dmg focused elements at the begining of the game. Like, the fighters. Venti deserves to be the queen for all the reasons you mentioned, and cuz hes almost like, free from the principles. Hes found a way to be free and agreeing with the rules, as the queen at chess.

My theory on why is the tsaritsa collecting all the gnoses is this: We know for a fact that the fatui and Dottore in particular can deal with the Gnoses, like with Scaramouche, as Nahida says “a body that capitalyses on the balladeer ‘s original construprion as a mechanical puppet WITH THE GNOSIS SERVING AS A CONSTANT POWER SUPPLY”. So the gnoses can grant elemental power, now, it’s hinted that with the combination of all elements we can obtain the light element, of witch existence is confirmed by the light sigils in the light real AND the namecard:Colors of the Rainbow. Soooo my guess is that the tsaritsa’s ultimate goal is to obtain eighter by herself or with a puppet(like Scaramouche ‘s case) the Light element so that she can deal with the Heavenly Principles. It’s also hinted that Phanes and the Travelers used to have it, at least travelers used to. Tell me what are your thoughts, i’d like to hear your opinions!

This is probably the wrong video to put this under, but could you explain (or maybe do a short/video) on how many archons have come before each current one? Venti and Zhongli are the first and the current of their nations and are called such. But, what about the others? Ei isnt the first Archon, but isn't Makoto? Arent they twins? Technically, wouldnt she have ruled (although not officially, but with her sister) just as long as Venti/Zhongli? Or is Makoto not even the first either? Nahida, i already know is new and doesnt have any memories of before. What about the Cryo, Pyro and Hydro archons? What number are they? But most importantly (to me) isnt Ei just as old technically?

Small little theory about The Tsaritsa’s plan: We know that the power of a Gnosis can erase things from Irminsul that are usually very hard to get rid of. This is seen with how both the Electro and Dendro Gnoses were needed to get rid of the forbidden knowledge. So maybe The Tsaritsa is trying to gain all seven of them in order to erase something extremely potent. Maybe the power of all seven (or eight) could actually rewrite history, rather than just memories.

Electro gnosis is knight, not bishop. The dendro one is the bishop. Why I conclude to electro gnosis as knight because in the Fatui Harbingers scene, the knight captured the pawn to which represented by Signora as the crimson firefly land on that pawn. Knowing that Raiden is the one who killed Signora, her gnosis must also represent as a knight Furthermore, I have a theory about why the archon’s gnosis is derived to their respective chess piece with the theory of their potential chess piece Anemo (Queen) - as Venti’s value is Freedom. People can do whatever they want: to be as straightforward as a rook, or to be surrounded by rules and careful like a bishop. Geo and Cryo (Rook) - As Zhongli’s values is Contract. Everything must be written and must be in law. Very straightforward just how the rook move. Same with the Tsaritsa’s values: Love (her former value to which I will not include as the information about this is still vague) and Fear (her current values). Her current values is also very straightforward, a tyrant who demands whatever she want must be done like the law in the case of Zhongli. Electro and Pyro (Knight) - As Ei’s values is all about Eternity and the knight piece is the most different and obscure piece in chess so as the ideals of the beholder/archon. It is a note to remember when Yae Miko criticizes Ei’s action - locking herself in the Plane of Euthymia - and called it a “voluntarily self-torture” and “adorable”. But of course, as all the pieces goes, they still want something to achieve - which is eternity. Same with Murata’s values which is war and passion. Her main goal is to achieve victory and burn her enemies through the ashes (as per the Story Trail Preview) to which requires a lot of obscure strategies to achieve that single goal. Dendro and Hydro (Bishop) - As Nahida’s values is all about wisdom and knowing that the Akademiya has their own law concerning their specialty (the foundation of laws in Akademiya - six cardinal sins). On the other hand, Focalors’ values is all about justice and knowing that the incoming nation - Fontaine - is concerned by laws. Their main goal is to gain their ideals (for the former, gather knowledge and wisdom but avoiding some topics that may interfere or break the cardinal sins of research, and for the latter, create a fair and just society without interfering the law they created) hence a bishop - a diagonal moving piece stuck in the color they were initially placed.
