Wow, weird how I grew up listening to these guys, used to chat on their forum from like 2001 - 2006, now I'm almost 30 & the band is completely different. I gotta say this album is not bad by any means but knowing that Rob and Matt are gone now leaves me with little faith in the future of Chimaira. Even though I detached myself from the metalcore scene, I always figured they were a strong enough unit that I would be listening to their albums 20 years from now. I remember Slayer saying the same. Now I feel like we are slowing watching the end of the band. They say the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over, I'm sure you can only play with the same musicians for so long...people grow old, taste changes, priorities shift and realizations are had. Although this is a little late, thanks for all the good tunes Chimaira, I will always have a few of your songs on my playlist and will always remember the trials and tribulations of the band.
