I started 2 weeks ago to listen to Chimamanda and I have been glued to the screen ever since. I love how she is poised, I love how she speaks, and I love her confidence and her authenticity. I look at myself and find myself comparing myself to her and noticing a lot of changes I need to make in order to improve my public speaking. Keep it up, you are indeed a motivation to me and many I am sure

i am also struggling with accepting the title of 'feminist' but i think it is inevitable now. I cannot understand how people are fine with not discussing the inequality women are facing in different parts of the world. So i'm listening to Chimamanda for courage.

Another Award was given to this great woman, Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie. One may ask does she deserve PEN Pinter Prize 2018? Yes. Her hard work is paying off. And it is obvious for all of us to see. We are really proud of her. Also, we are proud of other hard working women out there who may not have been recognized by international community for award. We appreciate them all too!

Exactly! I remember although not very clearly, one description she made in Purple Hibiscus. She said: “Her teeth whitened behind her red lipstick when she said, “‘Merry Christmas”’. I can't remember exactly how she put it but it made me imagine the scene. 😁

I work in a recycle depot to process clothes. We thow bad clothes to send somewhere that i don't know myself. But all my co-workers assume that it goes to Afrika. If someone is not sure if a dress is good enough she or he ask me : Marie, what do you think? Send it to Afrika? Then i start to see red I answer: You have a home, would you like me to bring my garbage to your home? She said: No I said: Don't disrespect my Home Afrika. I repeat this conversation daily is really sickening 😢 I always Tell them to don't say that & to respect Afrika. Am so sick & tied about this attitude. Am in Belgium for 23 years now, i want to do something about it. This wonderfull woman inspire me to right a book . We are the ones that have to educate ppl how to respect us. When you go out of the door you always come in contact with ppl. Is up to us to change one by one at the time.
