I started 2 weeks ago to listen to Chimamanda and I have been glued to the screen ever since. I love how she is poised, I love how she speaks, and I love her confidence and her authenticity. I look at myself and find myself comparing myself to her and noticing a lot of changes I need to make in order to improve my public speaking. I work in a recycle depot to process clothes. We thow bad clothes to send somewhere that i don't know myself. But all my co-workers assume that it goes to Afrika. If someone is not sure if a dress is good enough she or he ask me : Marie, what do you think? Send it to Afrika? Then i start to see red I answer: You have a home, would you like me to bring my garbage to your home? She said: No I said: Don't disrespect my Home Afrika. I repeat this conversation daily is really sickening 😢 I always Tell them to don't say that & to respect Afrika. Am so sick & tied about this attitude. Am in Belgium for 23 years now, i want to do something about it. This wonderfull woman inspire me to right a book . We are the ones that have to educate ppl how to respect us. When you go out of the door you always come in contact with ppl. Is up to us to change one by one at the time.
