When do you decide to not go for a FOB ?

Main reason is usually whether I have artillery that needs a FOB. In this case the M108s are very light on supply (just buy new ones to share ammo with). The other reason is usually a deck being heavy on ATGMs or rocket pods (or both) or not. Moto and airborne decks are prime examples of relying on those more.

Why do you always turn off the LMGs and GMPGs of your infantry squads? Making sure they don’t engage at range?

Infantry can use the at or the mg, but not both at the same time, so turning off the mg ensures they engage the vehicles instead of getting murdered by a 5pt 50 cal. transport because they were busy firing the mg at an infantry squad. They will prioritize killing veichles above infantry without your intervention
