I have a suggestion for charging your batteries when you’re out in the bush. I bought 2 BLUETTI AC 180 battery banks. With portable flexible solar panels. I do some camping for my astrophotography so one unit is used to power my astrophotography rig and the other is to power my camp. In the day, both units are fully charged using solar panels. They have 8 models with 4-8 ways to power or charge batteries. AC 240v, 12v dc multiple, usb c fast charge, wireless charging etc. my AC180 packs hold approximately 2kw of power each. But there’s smaller models that still have multiple AC and DC outs with 500w through to 1kw. Best powerpacks I’ve come across and ultra reliable. It would help you massively especially when you want to charge multiple batteries. I also have a smaller unit from BLUETTI, the EB70 which holds 1KW of power. I use that for FPV freestyle, especially when I’m out in the countryside for a few days.

The scenery around 6:50 is amazing! You did a great job flying low. And regarding vtx signal loss, I guess every pilot needs to experience it, and be able to react in a safe manner like you did. Be prepared all times and familiar with failsafe operation.

We're absolutely on the same wavelength! Field experience is invaluable, and it's also important to let go of fear. My way of dealing with it is that every time I take off, I mentally bid farewell to it in a way forever. A drone can always be replaced... what's important is that nobody gets hurt. P.S. Yes, it's definitely beautiful up there; my wife insists that we go there with our daughter for a picnic one day... those are the advantages of long-range drones :)

Great flight, i liked those cool rock formations! I agree one of the reasons for going for 900Mhz radiolink is that it will hold the connection to the drone even when the video goes out. 2.4Ghz ELRS also has great range but it wont penetrate objects as good as the 900.

Yes, the rock formations are really unusual, and thanks to the drone, I believe I would have never seen them... my wife insists that we go there with our daughter for a picnic... that's the advantage of long-range drones :) Yes, 900MHz definitely has excellent penetration, while 2.4GHz is also good, undoubtedly, just need to be more careful. The only thing giving me some trouble is signal loss during turns, but I'll solve that with diversity soon.

Nice ecperience ;-) we learn from every flight! Check te max wh you can pull from your car adapter, perhaps you have to charge slower than 1c in paralell with two so big lipos. My car can handle only 70wh over with the exact same cable

Thanks, bro! Regarding battery charging; the fuse for the car lighter is 20 A, so I believe it's possible to charge one battery at 2C (16 A), or two at 1C (16 A). I haven't tried it yet, but I'll be going out in the field again soon, so I'll give it a try. I'll definitely let you know how it went. See you, bro! Good luck up there!

@@Wild__FPV If your fuse is 16A, it means 12x16=192W. I would check the manual of your car plug & the description of your cable. Charger is no problem or limitation and can do this easy ;-)

All I have is the nominal current rating for that fuse, unfortunately, I don't have any other details. Anyway, if I go with 2C (16A), the worst that can happen is the fuse might blow... :D

I'm sending you a link to a video where, right at the beginning, there's a picture of goggles with those new antennas. In the description, there's a link to a tutorial video on how to do that modification - it's not difficult. Also, that mountain is so beautiful!! what an epic flight! also, i got the marketplace drone yesterday! im pretty exited about it the only thing is the weather isnt great but i got to fly it a little bit today when it was ok so im getting used to it but its definitely different in terms of flying with googles! its so cool tho even with anolog on a dull day! if you curious what googles i have i have the eashine ev800dms with upgraded triple feed patch antenna and upgraded mushroom antenna i think its pretty good for somone whos starting. and the camera on the drone is a caddex ratel not sure which one its the one with the plastic i believe.

Thanks a bunch! That's awesome you snagged a new drone so quickly after considering it! Your setup sounds awesome for beginners, it'll definitely give you some good flying vibes. Have a blast exploring with your new bird! How do you feel about your drone control skills? And hey, Caddex Ratel is a solid pick for the camera. Personally, I'm all about that analog feel, you know, that authentic flying experience... but unfortunately, gotta roll with digital for now, budget reasons.. What kind of drone did you get? No problem man! And it is a blast I’m loving it! I feel like I am definitely getting it I’m flying with no self leveling I believe it’s called acro in the fpv hobby but yea I am catching on for sure! I sadly don’t have any footage as of right know I do have the stock dvr but I haven’t put it on the headset. You do need a dvr to record right? Also as for the drone it’s a custom build on a diatone frame not exactly sure the size because I don’t know how to measure it. Is it from motor to motor diagonally? Looking forward to seeing more awesome stuff from you man have a good one! Happy flying!
