All footage for this video was obtained through reputable, ethically-run
wildlife sanctuaries dedicated to caring for their rescued primates, while
protecting their wild counterparts. Apes Like Us (under GLOBIO) and our
partner programs in no way support the exploitation or trade of primates
in any capacity (whether legal or illegal).
The sanctuary caretakers shown in this video are experts at caring for
these vulnerable, orphaned apes until they are strong enough to join
larger primate families at these sanctuaries. Any human contact with these
infants is for the babies' physical and mental benefit only.

Seeing him strengthen his muscles in the last part of vidio pulling on that branch using arms and legs is great fun and the beginning of a long happy life. That scene gives true meaning behind an old saying " monkey bars " lol. I love the little bottom patch of white fluff that always adults to recognize this is a baby, take special care.👍👍👏👏👏❤❤❤❤🐵🐵🐒🐒🐒🐒🐒.

I wish there was some way you could hang out with a young chimp for say an hour for a donation of like a thousand dollars as long as the chimp was willing. If not you got half of it back. Or better yet , a lottery system where for 5 bucks you could get a scratch off ticket and that increases the money to fund programs to help the chimps with only a few winners.

My question to is:why the adult 🤔gorella's eat their stools??I have not seen any animals eating their stools when they passed it out. I find that to be very gross!!can you let me know if there are something missing in their diet??I have 👀seen all the big adults will finished eating, then turn their hand ✋behind them and poo 💩into their hand ✋and then eat their stool.

Hope all the proceeds from the books are going towards conservation efforts. Would be disgusting if you're just trying to profit off of animal suffering and good human beings trying to help these animals

In the show notes - under Show More - you will see that Apes Like Us and books like Little Larry are part of the educational content produced by a registered US-base nonprofit called GLOBIO (learn more at www.GLOBIO.org). We are not a profit driven entity. Our proceeds from KZbin, books, content licensing, speaking presentations and other resources are returned into GLOBIO to create additional content and support our partner organizations in the field (sanctuaries and conservation projects). In addition, when we contract a specific book project with an organization like National Geographic we ensure an up-front donation is made to the organization at the heart of the project - in this case Ape Action Africa who runs Mefou Primate Sanctuary in Cameroon where Little Larry lives.
