For those actually curious about the Newt thing: War of the Newts if a book by a famous Czech author Karel Čapek (the name on the wall near the end of the video). The book is satire dripping with themes against fascism, rampant capitalism, isolationism, the works. In the books, humanoid newts are discovered and eventually used as cheap labour being seen as "inferior" until they rebel and wage war. Czechs, thinking they are safe from the sea-water living newts ignore it with the book ending with Newts appearing in a czech river.

Okay, I need to test if I'm literally compulsive. Can any of you watch him do the Chimp test and NOT try to beat him/ do the test to with your mind? Like can any of you just chill and look at it ,but not participate or is that just me who has to force myself to chill and just stare at chat so I'm not compelled to do the test?

Normally I would have tried but I already knew what the chimp test was and why chimps are generally better at it than human. Chimps get better rewards the further along they get and need to taught how to play it in the first place. The chimps don't actually learn the meaning of the numbers, to them they just see shapes they need to press in sequence to get treats. Humans however don't just see shapes, they see symbols with actual meaning. Due to our understanding of numbers and higher cognitive abilities our attention is automatically divided between memorizing the pattern and deriving meaning from the numbers themselves. We're essential forced to multitask which studies have shown greatly reduces our effectiveness at performing tasks and the overall quality of said tasks.
