@@mrmich1304 its called community stupidity. The original lore behind bloons td1 was a sport - like how you kick a ball around, the monkeys pop bloons and compete as a team to clear rounds. Now the idots who make up majority of the fanbase turned it into a war because they've played too many violent games and are incapable of thinking otherwise.

The Elite Sniper is actually very good with round 76. The bouncing bullet is incredible and for some reason his attack speed is pretty fast if you get a 2-5-0 tower. Give it a try sometime!

I don’t know if you know this but elite targeting means strongest ballon/moab, and then if anything passes 75% of map immediately targets first by itself. It’s really good for Elite Defending since it’s passive is more attack speed that farther the balloons are. Edit: I’m a sniper nerd in BTD6 😅

because of the way super ceramics work (high hp, pop into non-duplicating bloons), the best non-5th tier super ceram popper is actually a full auto large caliber

pretty sure they made it that additionally to the 4x speed bonus for lost lives, the elite defender gains attack speed AS bloons travel. So if the furthest bloon made it e.g. 50% through the map, he gains 50% more attack speed.

Shrapnels come out whichever direction bouncing bullets are bouncing each time they bounce. That's why you saw them coming out backwards from the top that time.

I consider the sniper one of the most significant additions to the BTD series. In BTD4 there was a lack of cheap and fast firing towers that could take out lead bloons reasonably fast. I play BTD5 so the sniper doesn't have things like shrapnel shot and the super cripple moab thing, maim moab is cripple moab in 5. I imagine it would be possible to get quite far in a normal gameplay using only snipers, you just have to have a LOT of them and make sure you get the target priorities set correctly.

Can confirm: you can at least beat round 80 on Monkey Meadow using only snipers. I think I had around 20 snipers with most being 4-2-0 spam

@@PiotrBarcz Elite Defender is really strong tower and if you upgrade it to 2-0-5, it becomes good at damaging single targets. 0-2-5 is better for crowds of bloons. Polska?

Elite Defender got nerfed too because with discount villages, you can actually afford an Elite Defender on Deflation mode (or at least you could?). It leaves you with basically no cash left and- assuming lead popping power- solos up to round 60.

One of the achievements regarding Snipers was to have one of each tier-5 Sniper on the game in Chimps mode. I thought it would be incredibly hard due to budget but all it takes is a very long map as a stepping stone to succeed.

Axis of havoc is one of the meta strats if you know how to play with snipers, I think it might be one of the best strat for bloody puddles although I'm not sure if the strat includes cripple moab, propably yes

All t5 snipers is actually not only a very viable, but very powerful strat. You can beat advanced and expert chimps maps with it. Although top path t5 usually isnt needed. 420 already stuns like crazy.

Fun fact: 025 sniper with alchemist touch are great for least tiers in contested territory. You can solo up to 68 or higher with them. Note, you do need to proc it's life loss on 63, but you can toggle first to strong to pad the Bloons away from the front, then switch back to first when you leak yellows.

10:00 X-4-X Sniper (Supply Drop) can pop both lead and camo still. You could’ve made him X-4-2 so he’ll still have some speed instead of 2-4-X And yeah they did nerf the X-X-4 which sucks that he can’t pop leads anymore

This doesn't matter in CHIMPS mode much but the teir4 supply drop upgrade gives the sniper lead popping power it also says that in its upgrade description so if you can afford the teir4 supply drop upgrade before camo leads and DDT's then going for a 0-4-2 or 0-5-2 sniper then it will be very good for the play through.

My personal opinion with sniper towers is a 2-0-5 sniper, but that’s only if you’re going to get another way to give it camp detection. If not it lacks with most rounds, but can be made up for using other towers.

024 Sniper is better than a 204 when it comes to a lot of bloons. 204 is only good for individual damage towards one target since it does 7 damage per shot but that’s only for one bloon. 024 with shrapnel shot does hella damage to more bloons.

another thing I THINK most people forget is that the middle path for sniper increases attack speed by lowering how long it takes for them to reload making 5-2-0 the better path as compared to 5-0-2

2-0-5 elite defender is actually better, it has higher popping power and can clear moabs or large groups of rainbows a lot faster, the only weakness it has is camo detection which you can solve with a village

the elite defender mk is actually for the retaliation cooldown, because the retaliation has a cooldown (im not sure what it is) so if the retaliation effect goes away, but the cooldown is still there, then you wont get that buff again

a bunch of 5-0-2 snipers are fantastic against MOABs. 5-2-0 for DDTs. Regular bloons, a mix of 0-2-5 and 0-5-2. With 12 snipers split evenly between these 4, you can make it through rnd 100

As a battles 2 enjoyer, I primarily spam full auto snipers to last for a very long time against my foes. After equally distributing the cross paths for a while, I then invest all money into 2-0-4 snipers. I also get a 2-5-0 to buff the attack speed of all snipers, making elite defender a godsend of a t5.

The deflation nerf was because you could get Elite defender for it. No one ever soloed deflation with the 4th tier, it was a full 025 sniper for deflation before the nerf.
