Can't anyone in the comments recognize that D actually likes this kid on a very personal level? D has a son about his age so it should be obvious that D instantly looked at this kid as his own Son. That's why D kept on starting arguments with him. It's unusual for D to be this over-the-top with anyone, and this kid didn't deserve the bad treatment D gave him for simply owing tickets, but that's how a "Father" would be when disciplining his Son, along with constantly looking for something to start an argument with his Son about. Right from the start D said *he got "Son Ache"* and he hadn't even met the kid for under a minute after he opened the car door. Then @08:55 D says, *"That's what I thought, you walk away"*. That's what the kid is supposed to do when it's just business. Only a father would say something like that to his own kid. You wouldn't say that to a stranger who owes tickets on their car.
