All highways in Jamaica is effectively a rain catchment area, this rainwater should be collected, stored in a collection area and managed for Jamaica's development. This water could even be transferred via Jamaican made concrete pipes to low rainfall areas.

True a large fresh water pond and treatment plant could be built somewhere in that flood prone area to supply the May Pen communities

I think they gonna make a concrete drain behind the right side of that bridge to take the water to the sea and it has to be a very big one as well when you look at the amount of water coming down to the bridge section

Don’t be surprised if they built other infrastructure overtime like a service station, fast food outlets and a rest stop. They seems to be prepping the land for a built out of something bigger. Thanks for the information on the new Juici patty store on the Winston Jones highway. I hope that area will be as accommodating and as people friendly as the one at Clarendon park. However with all our modern technology and road designers, couldn't highway 2000 be built to accommodate the Juici Patty complex. Couldn't a lane be built to get into the complex while not being able to avoid the toll. Or even make an exit toll to Clarendon park, similar to the exit toll to the gas station on the north-south highway.

Absolute idiocy. I hope users of this afterthought underpass will be strong swimmers. Normally we drain to a low point. The only way to remove water from a low point is to pump from it.
