They were indeed. But the Japanese constantly improved their product quality, with the result that Toyota has now for a long time been the #1 seller on the planet. If you are suggesting that Chinese product will go the same way, well, I'd have to say that the evidence *strongly* suggests the opposite.

In eight years time, there will be no replacement battery from the *manufacturer*. It is possible, but unlikely, that cheap clone batteries will be available from third parties. Of questionable quality. This car is a completely throw-away item.

Ford "F One hundred Fifty". Appears to be unibody. Is it RWD? Does it have a V8 or at least a very decent V6 without turbo?

You will NEVER see these chinese trucks on the road in America! The quality is so bad, they're not worth anything close to $20k. Keep in mind that in China hundreds of EV's catch on fire every day! Every single day!

We wont see them (or indeed a great many Chinese EVs) in Australia, either, because they dont comply with ADR (Australian Design Rules). Not that it matters. We are a totally insignificant market except of course to ourselves LOL.
