China's city night scene is built on top of three things. Firstly the energy revolution ensures cheap and reliable electricity. Secondly domestic industry provides cheap and advanced lighting equipment. Lastly and most importantly, the government has authority to coordinate buildings with different ownership to participate in the same show, making the city one giant canvas. So the answer is not why they do that, just because it's good and they can.

@@JackTorrOn top of those, Chinese love the Everbright feeling😅 If you go to Xian, there is a Tang Everbright city where it is crazily lit up at night. Also, Chinese cities have a lot of people and a lot of activities after dark, so cities need to be well illuminated.

Which is the reason why Australians FEAR that those Chinse would invade and take over their country for "living space" (so said the Anglo-Europeans who stole this land from the indigenous Australian aborigines in the first place ... robbers who think that others are just as dishonest as they are).
My best new couple ❤ may your love and this channel grows higher than the sky ☁️

Subscribed. Very nice video. I have been to China, their cities & infrastructure are just so advanced. I seriously doubt why China calls itself a developing country. I have been to Hangzhou, Shenzhen,Shanghai & Hongkong, Shenzhen is my favorite city, it's truly amazing, so clean and advanced. Shanghai and Hongkong are world class cities too.

In 2023, the GDP of the United States has once again climbed, reaching around $27.37 trillion, and the per capita GDP has reached around $82900. They call themselves still developing because vast sections of the countryside is still not developed. Just because the cities are developed does NOT make a nation fully developed, not when vast tracts are still underdeveloped and there is still a wide inequality at work throughout the country. Go visit the Chinese countryside in the rural areas up the mountains and the deserts and check out the villages and small towns. Visiting just the "tourist trap" cities does not give anyone a true picture of the country as a whole - in the same manner, if you went to say, Arkansas or Philadelphia in the U.S. and use those places a measuring stick for the WHOLE of the U.S., you'd go away thinking that the entire U.S. is a "backward dump".

Chongqing is a mountainous city where buildings are built by mountains. These architectures have different altitudes and heights, which make the lights on them look magnificent. And the river isn't too wide so that the lights beside the river seem quite intensive and cyberpunk.
