One of our favorite Chinese (I'm Chinese) places is Mr. Chopstix by Sunset/Ft Apache. My favorite dish is the Beijing Beef Cold Noodle.

I recommend Pho Saigon 8 and Dakao Sandwiches on Spring Mountain and just west of Lindell. I took one of my professors to Saigon 8 and he is from China and he loved their pho.

The funniest thing here is that DTM got taken out for Chinese AMERICAN food! NOT CHINESE food! LOL! Not to say some of it can't still taste good, but Danny's palate knows what it likes. ;-) Very nice of the couple taking DTM out for a meal; now DTM needs to take THEM out for a REAL CHINESE meal! :-) And stop bothering the woman and her chopsticks skills, she's learning. Doctor Jones and Short Round...I'm glad Danny has a great sense of humor and is not easily offended like many younger Asians. The food looked okay, but, "a very local place" sounds like code for the clientele where the only Asians in there were Danny and the staff.

The city of Rangoon. 2. Cream cheese. Crab Rangoons are not Chinese. If my friends or coworkers wanted to go to "a very local place", I would be just as gracious as Danny even though they don't serve favorites like beef chow fun or dim sum.
