There will obviously be other companies that achieve reusability, however, SpaceX is this far ahead.

I hope SpaceX continues to be the world leader in rocket engineering. I especially hope SpaceX AND ALL U.S. rocket companies stay WAY ahead of Chinese rocket companies. The Chinese government is a threat to the entire world. I don't trust them at all.

At the moment, though, you have an entire slew of Chinese startup companies working on reusability- much more so than in the US, where 95% of the reusability work is being done in one company, SpaceX. - Dave Huntsman

What do you expect when your #1 best skill is stealing tech from others and then copying their work..... While I am not a rocket engineer and have no room to speak, l still look down on China (Success or no Success) because if you took away their ability to take from others - there would not be much advancement. Their success is the fault of the West for not close guarding it's advancements. Maybe they are the "smarter" ones - let everyone else do the heavy lifting and in the end we we'll take the prize and all the credit I stand by ---- Pathetic... . @@dphuntsman

If its the theft of intellectual property that causes your distrust -- well -- private companies (and the ones lead by E. Musk especially) know full well the risk, and they do know how to guard their secrets. Otherwise a healthy competition in engineering can only be good for the space industries and science, so we should rather cherish it, not fear/combat it. At the moment it seems US internal politics are hampering SpaceX more than anything else (such as the cancelled contract for SpaceX provided remote internet acces worth almost $1bln, or the few months of delay of the starship program caused by the -- "oh so important" -- fish and wildlife services" at Boca Chica... or ... we should perhaps mention the catastrophy on US southern border associated with migration... which may at some point lead to strategic delays at the Starbase).
