The Tuoketuo Power Generation Project in Inner Mongolia, China, is the world's largest thermal power plant - a significant project for China's 'Western Development' and 'West-to-East Power Transmission.' The plant was established in November 1995 and took 22 years to complete. Equipped with 12 units, it produces a total of 6.72 million kilowatts, making it the largest thermal power plant globally. The facility has environmental features, including advanced desulfurization, denitrification, dust removal technology, and an ultra-low emission transition. It aims to focus on green transformation, setting a new benchmark for the coal-fired power generation industry by integrating wind power, photovoltaic and heating. This transformation contributes to China's aim to achieve 'carbon peaking and carbon neutrality.'
