Alright this FF is a bit lackluster try this: After collecting resources first build 1 trade post. Then build 1 village. First shipment trade empire. While your waiting for it to ship make sure you have 160 wood. You should already have 100 get the remaining 60 from treasures or by using settlers really quick. Build a trade post with the rickshaw and build another one with your monk. So far you have a total of 3 trade posts and should be ready to age at 12 villies. Choose Summer Palace and put 4 villies on it. Gather 100 gold either by treasures or villies for a total of 300. Once you have 300 focus all villies on food. Your second shipment is 700 gold for a speedy age. Your third shipment is 7 steppe riders. I prefer them because they can run away from their age 2 hard counter unlike xbow. Age immediatley once you get 1200 food. You want the confucious academy put 8 villies on it preferably in the back of your civ. While you are aging you have 5 villies on food the rest on wood. Once you age you should have enough wood for another village to place. By the time you reach this age you will have 2 villages 9 steppe, 3 xbow, 8 aquebusier "from wonder", and 3 available Home city shipments. This is where it gets tricky. If he attacks or has attacked avoid his army. Ship confucious gifts for speedy shipments then spam his counter with the 2 remaining shipments. If he is passive you might want to save confucius gift for now and use the extra shipment to bolster your army. I usually go cav shipping 4 iron flails, 5 meteor hammers, then the beiyang army for 1000 food which also upgrades my steppe. This usually leaves me with 19 steppe, 4 iron, 5 meteor, 8 keshiek, 8 aquebusier, and 6 xbow . The cav is usually enough to decimate any hussar equivalent army in team games. Anyway from there just keep spamming military shipments and play it from ear. Oh and keep your keshik alive they get a bad rap from gerdames but honestly they are pretty crazy up to late game. Just remember they are a hard counter to cav. No cav? Pull them back and only engage cav with a melee cav front line.

nice strat even if i hate keshiks, they are quite useless because you ship them with pikes, so i prefer old han army with a nice combo anti heavy inf + anti cav + flamethrowers. But my strat, but not for FF is to use twice the 300 wood. Once you build a trade post or even 2, so you can put all your villies on food directly. Then you build another trade post or villages, you get age 2 with 6 villages with this strat and then you send the northern refugees for a +6 villagers in age 2 (even if it is a card of age 1). then you send in age 3 the western refugees for a +6 again and finally the wonder with 10 villies. And in the meanwhile i get enough food, wood and gold. i waste a bit of time i know, but it is a mixed way to increase cause usually i rush at age 2 with china, going age 3 doesn't give many big improvements to me. overall cause i go usually full infantry, cav is good but too expensive and not so powerful, bad multipliers ... meteor hammers cost and aren't so powerful against soldiers, while the other cav is bad against musks and very expensive. and finally the problem of keshiks is that they have to retreat to be effective against cav ... and there is nobody in the frontline to cover chukonu from cav, it is why i prefer pikes which also have great siege at the beginning.

Hey Samurai! An advice as china when i used tô play with them, use ur monk/explorar tô tank hits he has an amazing ammount of hp. Also Spend ur Export u can get tons of things in the cosulate but Gg Wp

It's so painful to never see you use the button that calls all militia to one place, it would be very helpful and would prevent you from sending vills in the middle of battle. Also I know everybody already said it but.... the consulate.... so neglected.... so painful....

Austin Pierre I think he means having a group of units or buildings and clicking ctrl 1-9 to create a control group for up to 9 groups. Control groups will allow easy access to whatever group of units you've chosen. You can also add units to an existing group with shift 1-9.

Hey man, I know this video is old but hopefully you can help me. Whenever I do the refugee shipment all it does is queue up 1 villager in each town hall and village. I have plenty of population room so idk why they're queuing up like that. Thanks for your time in advance.

what's the point of a ff if you only build ageII units... but the build to Fortress was really smooth I think from 5 villages on its cheaper to get the upgrades instead of another village

@@inferiorexterior9335 not necessarily, i have my 300 wood infinite card of age 1, you make 1 or 2 trade posts and put all villies on food. and make XP. then even a consulate with french for +5% gathering resources + resource crates. Then 6 villages and the refugees card for +6 villies at age 2 and +6 age 3, then +10 with wonder to age 4. But in the middle i usually go slowly cause i continue to spam old han armies.

i usually ally first with french, they give +5% resource gathering (if you make +15% export generation but -5% gathering, you make tons of exports). But usually first french for 300 food, 300 gold and 300 wood. then +15% for gathering like 1500 export ... then russians for fort and factory ... then germans for -30% cost of armies + trickles of gold, food and wood. when you research old han reforms card, old han costs +50% but germany decreases by 30% the cost of your armies so old han reforms is even stronger ! But of course it requires a lot of concentration. Building 3 town centers, checking when to switch consulate. making troops, controlling map, ... china requires a lot of effort to micro everything. but this is a strategy for late game, i have my deck to win within 15min, max 20. if no, the enemy will start shipping cannons and for middle game china is very bad, it shines back at age 4 or 5 with old han reforms and other cards for old han and other armies.
