People call the hatred of the Japanese by Chinese and Korean citizens as xenophobic, but when you look at the history of Japan's war crimes against these two countries, you can understand. On top of that, Japan today downplays their war crimes or outright denies them. They don't teach any of it to their younger generations, so these kids grow up thinking that they've been the innocent victims of America's brutal nuclear attacks. Little did they know that these nuclear attacks were a last resort against the barbaric violence and evil committed by Japanese soldiers at the time. The only Japanese people who are knowledgable of the past and are ashamed of it are the older generation, people who grew up during WWII or directly after.

Added to this, is the refusal of the Japanese to fully apologize and the fact that there leaders every year go and pay respect to the shrine that houses the war criminals!! If that is not enough, Japan has whitewashed their atrocities from the history books, so most Japanese don’t even know that these war crimes were committed. Unlike Germany, who have accepted responsibility and this history is taught in their schools.

People can forgive but cannot forget. But when Japan changes their history books to deny what happened, that will boil anyone's blood. I am from Malaysia. The British Colonial Office recorded 72,000 Chinese Malayan civilians were killed during the Japanese occupation of Malaya(now known as West Malaysia). That constitute 5% of the population of Chinese Malayan at that time.... for every 20 Chinese Malayan, 1 was killed by the Japanese soldiers. We can forgive but we will never forget.

I am a Singaporean and for this reason, I did not work for a Japanese company in my 44 years career . I admired the Germans who had apologised for their criminal acts against the Jews. I had also visited one of the concentration camp in Germany . Every young German had to visit one of these camps during the high school and the purpose is to let them knows that their country men had done a bad thing and what happened must not be repeated. Obviously , I did my apprenticeship in a German company when I was a young man and went on to work for German companies for most part of my career. Singapore had also suffered under the Japanese for some years, albeit not to the extend what happened in Nanjing . We can forgive but never forget what had happened. Cheers

@jeremyjackson7429Сағат бұрын
The only people instilling hatred are the people that have a shrine dedicated to convicted ww2 war criminals (Yasukuni Shrine) but not a single memorial, shrine, nor apology dedicated to the 30 million innocent Chinese civilians that they wiped from existence. It's 200 TIMES the number of people that were wiped out in Nagasaki and Hiroshima combined.
@Just-a-person374Сағат бұрын
How does a Memorial Day go against humanity? The Chinese are clearly trying to respect the war dead, Japan have never even acknowledged the atrocities they have committed in China, even the n@zi’s themselves said that what Japan did in China was completely wrong and unacceptable THE N@ZI’S SAID THAT
@Hoo8884659 минут бұрын
Wow, so Japan tries to instill hatred among humanity by playing the biggest “victim of WWII” by crying about Hiroshima and Nagasaki every single year and worshiping their class A criminals in the Yasukuni Shrine while demanding USA to apologize. I guess Japan knows best how to gaslight and play victim all the time. Commemorating WWII history is considered “instilling hatred”. I see where Japan tries to do, play victim again. So why do you Japanese keep instilling hatred every year crying at the Hiroshima A-Bomb Memorial Park? Why do Japan instill hatred against POW’s who fought against their invasions? Why is USA instilling hatred by commemorating about the Pearl Harbor attack? Keeping history alive is considered “instilling hatred”? Ok, Japanese bot, enough of your gaslighting and weaponization of empathy by playing the victim…..
