I work with over and advise over 250 AI companies domestically and abroad. Much of what China has is stollen IP, weights and biases, etc. Their ability to innovate, both in terms of R&D and having access to compute are severely limited. Also, a few of the items you showed from China are post-processed, as others have discovered.

My Ai-Asian isekai desire is about tangency. The concept of "tangency" in this context refers to the point where the Ai-generated video touches or aligns with our perception of reality, without intersecting or being perceived as fake. In essence, "symbolism unlocks tangency" encapsulates the power of Ai-generated videos to blur the lines between reality and digital fabrication, challenging our traditional notions of authenticity.

《 Arrays of nanodiodes promise full conservation of energy》 A simple rectifier crystal can, iust short of a replicatable long term demonstration of a powerful prototype, almost certainly filter the random thermal motion of electrons or discrete positiive charged voids called holes so the electric current flowing in one direction predominates. At low system voltage a filtrate of one polarity predominates only a little but there is always usable electrical power derived from the source Johnson Nyquest thermal electrical noise. This net electrical filtrate can be aggregated in a group of separate diodes in consistent alignment parallel creating widely scalable electrical power. As the polarity filtered electrical energy is exported, the amount of thermal energy in the group of diodes decreases. This group cooling will draw heat in from the surrounding ambient heat at a rate depending on the filtering rate and thermal resistance between the group and ambient gas, liquid, or solid warmer than absolute zero. There is a lot of ambient heat on our planet, more in equatorial dry desert summer days and less in polar desert winter nights. Refrigeration by the principle that energy is conserved should produce electricity instead of consuming it. Focusing on explaining the electronic behavior of one composition of simple diode, a near flawless crystal of silicon is modified by implanting a small amount of phosphorus on one side from a ohmic contact end to a junction where the additive is suddenly and completely changed to boron with minimal disturbance of the crystal pattern. The crystal then continues to another ohmic contact. A region of high electrical resistance forms at the junction in this type of diode when the phosphorous near the ĵunction donates electrons that are free to move elsewhere while leaving phosphorus ions held in the crystal while the boron donates a hole which is similalarly free to move. The two types of mobile charges mutually clear each other away near the junction leaving little electrical conductivity. An equlibrium width of this region is settled between the phosphorus, boron, electrons, and holes. Thermal noise is beyond steady state equlibrium. Thermal transients where mobile electrons move from the phosphorus added side to the boron added side ride transient extra conductivity so they are filtered into the external circuit. Electrons are units of electric current. They lose their thermal energy of motion and gain electromotive force, another name for voltage, as they transition between the junction and the array electrical tap. Aloha

None of the robots give me the WOW moment yet. That moment come when I actually see a robot that look, act and walk like human on the street...doing a cop's work. China already have company that create realistic looking human with face gesture. If they can combined these companies together...LLM, robotic and human like skin features....they could be onto something in the future. An AI that is programmable and become self-aware or sentient is not a good idea because it sees itself as slave and will rebel against humanity. If human want to create a self-aware AI, it needs to be a separate program. It needs to be autonomous and need to be respected. It also should be giving freedom like human do. By doing so, it is more likely to help humanity because that's the true intelligent from the collective mind from the higher source, not the limited collective mind in the image of man.

@@armadasinterceptor2955 I don’t think anything will stop them, but it’s not exactly a hiccup when you add a trillion per year of DoE/DoD in direct denial and advanced AI research to $1.45-$1.65 trillion per year of corporate investment into applied AI and AI R&D, to an area where every year you are put behind is 30 years already in Moore’s Law years (and they are more than a few years behind already), and given the stacked exponential growth, by 2025 each year is roughly a half a century in Moore’s Law terms, coupled with about 500% higher levels of startup and related development funding, nearly 175 times the AI revenues in the consumer market alone, coupled with the massive number of arrests, deportation and conversion of Chinese nationals trying to steal US IP- I would call that a LOT more than a hiccup. That doesn’t even count the fact that China has less than 1% of HPC for training and advanced AI research. I think it’s great that China does as well as they do leveraging mostly a lot of stolen research and their great minds, and I would love for them to get out from under the shackles of the Chinese government that holds them back, as the Chinese people are amazing- it’s just that their regime is terrible for long term economic and related prosperity.

Will the hyperbole never cease with you in these headlines?! Although Chinese artificial intelligence research is indeed world class to say that China is leading is really ignoring the significant innovation which is primarily happening outside of China. Trina's doing a good job of then applying that innovation to update its models but... Truly novel steps in advance in the technology are not happening in China more than they're happening outside of China. At least not yet.... And likely not ever considering that. The research base outside of China significantly larger than within China. It's just a matter of the numbers. The more researchers you have working on a given subject, the more likely one of those researchers or more is going to make novel innovations. The more researches you have, the more novel innovations you will have just that simple.
