I definitely agree and we shouldn’t privatize anything.

my worry is whether being private will make medicare too expensive and end up like US which is insanely expensive.

Thank you for the video, I am shocked to find that the most populated country has such horrible health care available, but they do have the barefoot dr and I would trade all of my ten plus specialist dr.s for one like her.. I have a lot of rare issues and after 25+ years of dealing with us medical treatment I am grateful for what I have but very much more aware of the reality of professional medicine.

Medical education in the U.S. should be trimmed to 2 years: 1 year of basic medicine and 1 year or bed-side manners. Abolish all post-graduate specialty training and bring back Dr. Marcus Welby!

@@rmwtsou those doctors will get wiped out by insassant lawsuits. Much of doctors' training in the United States is anti-lawsuit training. They have to know extremely rare diseases just in case a lawsuit might arise.

Who says they have to be barefeet? How expensive are shoes -- and for that matter white coats, stethoscopes and diplomas that says "Doctor"? Being barefeet surely do not inspire patient confidence and patient confidence is 90% of the cure already. This is the solution to runaway medical cost in the U.S. -- doctor control. Barefoot doctors only write inexpensive antibiotics. They do not order expensive tests or perform expensive procedures. Sure, the average life expectancy of U.S. will probably go down a couple of years, but just think of all the money we could save.
