Guess I'm the first one to comment. Visited Hainan several years ago, was beautiful and the people wonderful. Hi from Wisconsin in the US to all out there.
Greetings from America. Thank you for such amazing, interesting and beautiful videos. Don't know why I keep feeling like crying watching this video. I love China and Asian ppl. Want to travel myself. Don't know when. My ancestry is Eastern Europe. You produce such beautiful, professional videos. Be safe and careful and healthy. Hope you can visit with Flo again soon. Very much respect and appreciate and honor you. God bless you.

@@gregjillson9351 Thank you! Though there are different cultures, different traditions, American ppl, or European ppl, or Asian ppl, we are same! Hi Yan: My Great Grand Aunt Florence had a home there in the 1930’s, a Jewish family, but moved to Shanghai when the Imperial Forces of Japan invaded the island and set fire to all the villages. Shanghai, with its more than twenty synagogues and pre-war Jewish population over 20,000 was the ideal place to migrate to. I’ve personally been to Hong Kong, Shenzhen, Nanjing, Shanghai, and Beijing, but not to Hainan yet. ❤Diane, Vancouver, Canada. FrMR29/24. 06:41 pm

@@johnrivers3813Hi John: Just heard from Mom that there are still about two thousand people of Jewish descent living in Shanghai now, but only two of the twenty synagogues are still operational. The others, while still standing, have been repurposed and still can be found via special guided tours out of the Shanghai Museum of Jewish Refugees and Heritage that operates out of the “Ohel Moishe Synagogue.” Mom says my Great Grandfather is buried in the Jewish Cemetery in Hong Kong on Shan Kwong Road (“Sahn Gong Doe” in Cantonese, the Chinese dialect prevalent in Hong Kong) in the Happy Valley district. Although I have recently travelled to Shanghai and Hong Kong with my university classmates I did not visit the places I have mentioned. After conversations with Mom tonight I think I must revisit these two Chinese cities and experience the remnants of my cultural and family history in China. ❤Diane, Vancouver, Canada.
