Indeed very comfortable. I travelled in business class in China a couple of years ago, we sat in the front two single seats in that style of cabin. Perhaps because it was an evening trip, a full hot dinner like an airline tray meal was supplied, plus a pot of soup and various other snacks, all in the ticket price. What impressed me most was that liquids did not even shake, much less spill, the ride was so smooth.

It will be nice if the Russian regim should be peaceful, doing their job for the development of Russia, not oppressing or attaching other countries. If Russian leaders should follow the model of Chinese leaders, Russia, with the great natural resources that have, should be a more developmend county than China, and their neighbors should search by themselves for alliance and partnership with Russia, not oppressed or forced to do that.

In China, this is called Business Class and is ranked above First Class. Still, I miss the rides on these trains. Been too long since my last trip there.
@onetap18795 ай бұрын
The first class you meant is not the first class normally mentioned in flights. In china, the seats for high speed railways is classed, from low to high, Second class, First class, and Business class. There are new trains now called "smart train" that has individual suites for business class traveller, and priced exactly the same as these older trains. When I travel alone I usually look for those newer version of the train to have the best experience for my money. IMO it is nearly if not the same experience that I had travelling first class in wide body aircrafts, just without the same level of food amenitiesI. hope you have time to come visit again!

It makes me dream of taking one of these trains as a private sleeper from China to Moscow Russia someday if it's ever built. I took Business class seats two times. Both were desastrous. In either case, there was one passenger in the compartment who had a family with seats in other parts of the train. In both cases, the families (one adult, two resp. three children resp.) joined their relatives soon after departure and found themselves a place either on the generous floorspace or on non-booked seats. It was a big family party almost throughout, and the train attendants couldn't care less, even when they entered to check the reservations. I've stuck to first class ever since, saved more than 50% of the cost and had a much smoother ride.

@XJLCA Of course, flying sucks! Even in first class it sucks! But, it's not like there's a bullet train in any US city. We have a junior bullet train here between DC and NYC, called Acela. It's actually very nice, but it only goes 90 mph max. But it is very nice, especially first class. I mean, it's not like Japan's first class trains. It's more like premium business class with amazing food and alcohol and a personal attendant. It costs a fortune, like $600 each way. But it's worth it.
