I’ve seen a few videos where China’s population is actually around 800 million. Between the cultural revolution, Great Leap Forward, and the famine in which million died in each event plus the 1 child policy that went on for decades how could their population have grown to 1.4 billion?

It's possible. The population growth curve is usually behind the limiting factors like One Child. So, even though One Child was implemented in 1979, the population just mathematically continued growing for 40 years but slowing down every year until the inevitable peak and decline happened. Covid-19 accelerated that process by discouraging people from starting families, and the economic situation since 2019 has also hurt the marriage rate. The oppressive tactics of the current leadership have also angered young people and caused some of them to "lie flat" and refuse to have children as a form of protest.

Just because a woman is under 40 and still having cycles doesn't mean she can carry a healthy baby to term. A lot of young men and women are infertile. Many people just don't believe fertility treatments are a good idea. I don't know if they even have studies on the children decades later. I don't mean testing but just medical issues and such.

There's not 0.6 billion chineses outside of China. That's close to twice the US's population, or the population of the whole Europe. And China notoriously have very low immigration and emigration rate since forever These people just don't exist. They never did. If the population is calculated with official CCP's birthrate number (and not simply official population number) the estimated population is around 0.8 billions. And people working on it thinks that the official birthrate number are still generous compared to reality, so the population is probably even less.

However the indicated treatment in no way infers that they had anything other than a headache, or sore throat. At least half of the several hundred people I knew in China over the 13 years living there took themselves off to hospital for a drip. None, not a single one of them, looked the slightest bit sick. I’m sure most didn’t feel great, but seriously ill, not a single individual. It was mostly done as a culturally acceptable way of getting out of work.

I'm quite fluent with India. Why do you think the population is falling. My observation would be that women are not psychology capable of handling smart phones and social media. In most countries, particularly in America the typical rate of virginity of guys 18-30 would be 7-14% but as soon as the iphone hit basically by 2010 that number have risen to 30% and it's about 38% now. This because of female hypergamy. In India when I was first came in 2010 they had less then a 1% divorce rate and now it's rising past 7%. This could be a 10x or 1000% increase in divorce in as little as 10 years. Nowadays in India I hear divorce commonly, I hear women screaming at men in domestic conflicts, and I see little 12 year old girls walking down the street dressed like prostitutes self vacilating on their iphones. I’m sorry to be negative nelly, but seeing those kids is heartbreaking. Is there rapid illness, when there’s civil unrest or protests? People can’t go to local grocery, without thought of it could make my family sick. They shop at Sams Club to be safe. well, not exactly, in my opinion you see, living in china has become more than just a struggle, and over there, the population is large, meaning people have to be fed, and thus, manpower is required to maintain the food and other necessities. the establishment of the one child policy is almost a death sentence for the nation, due to the huge amount of old people compared to young people, who are capable of running the nation subsequent to the abolishment of the one child policy, and the encouragement for the people to have two or three children, it becomes unsustainable for more families to be able to maintain such a high children count, all to maintain the gorwing population that once was attempted to be controlled, but now, the rise of number of people of the newer generation is much needed, given that it is perhaps the only hope to keep the nation running the reason why families used to abide the one child policy, and used to refuse it, and quickly only had one or no children at all, despite the govermnet telling them to have more childre, is because of many factors that add up to the burden of the parents while taking care of their childre, like the money in order to supply food, provide education, and for healthcare as well

It’s not uncommon for children to die from sickness and disease is why parents had several kids back decades ago. In modern times this is getting to be very rare. The evidence is still there with large homes that have vacant bedrooms. The evidence of vacant bedrooms explains depopulation and the housing crisis. We have too many empty nester households or too many adults past the natural biological time period controlling homes a younger generation of adults that need these homes to growing a large family of children.
