CHINA TIER LIST VS MINE - Identity V

This is a rank tierlist, where it’s assumed survs don’t have great cooperation/comms. Also it’s a bit different since different servers have different playstyles/metas. But the main reason it looks so weird is because of the first thing I said.

I think the reason this Tier list looks cursed to us is because all the servers have different playstyles and different meta characters. Idk if you all remember this but a long time ago Evil Reptilian was S-Tier in the Japan Server so they nerfed him. In the NA/EU server, he was considered weak, and the nerf made no sense to us. Also, China has a lot of hackers, so that could also contribute to the way this tier list is. It also looks more like a Rank Tier List over a tournament Tier list.

I think this is why Violetta won't get more buffs either. She has really strong players in CN who would probably be OP if she got buffed too much.

I have watched some CN Fool's Gold on HappyBud and, at least this is the 1st FG's playstyle, they would throw pickaxes at other areas while chasing a surv so they can chip damage other survs and get presence faster. Though, this only happens in maps like Eversleeping and Sacred. He is limited heavily by map layout which confuses me why he is that high.

China likes characters that do not take much effort. Dream Witch while being strong, takes too much effort & investment (time) to become very strong at it. The hunters above Dream Witch while also requires time investment to be good at, isn't as demanding as DW.

@@RJ-mj4sh if I wanted good mobility, i'd play someone mlre consistently mobile than he is. His ability to counter tight kiting is actually relatively easy to counter, especially if he doesn't have full presence (the edge of the unstable grounds very small against a pallet and has a very small window of time where tou can successfully chip the survivor). His cipher pressure is laughably bad, especially the further away he is from the cipher. His magnetic rock will glow and shack before releasing the chip, and the delay between the warning and the actual chip gets longer the further away he is. Meaning if he is 60+ meters away from a cipher, the survivor can LITERALLY FREELY DECODE THE CIPHER AND HAVE ENOUGH TIME TO GET OFF IT TO AVOID GETTING CHIPPED! Bonbon's cipher pressure is more consistent than this and he has to actually throw his bomb at the cipher with no obstruction to the throw path. And to top it all off, unlike other chip hunters he LITERALLY CAN'T FORCE A CIPHER POP AND HAS TO BASIC HIT SURVIVORS! Fool's Gold relies a lot on mind games and is extremely inconsistent. The vast majority of chip hits you will see him preform on survivors is from them making a mistake, not because he actually was doing the right action. The best part about him is his camp, but actually getting down a survivor (much less a smart one) is very difficult. The best way I could describe Fool's Gold is just if they decided to make Naiad a chip hunter. Why would I play an inconsistent chip hunter when I could just play Naiad, who has pretty much the exact same strengths and weaknesses as him, but is far stronger.

@@soIzec all that yapping, but clerk is still ass lmao. She has no chase and no resources to stop the survivor from eternally kiting her. Maps with two story just destroy her as well, as she can't really block people from going up and down, meaning her skills, which should be her strongest resource, are even more useless. The reason I say her skill is useless is simply because it's based on prediction, someone can bait that they're gonna vault and clerk wastes a drop. It's not always as well that breaking/lifting up a pallet will be an immediate hit. Clerk when properly spaced is simply useless. Her skill to slow ciphers down is also very telegraphed, as you can see the circle around you that she is observing you. Having no chase, means she is not able to grow her presence, which translates to her not being able to pressure ciphers. Nowadays we have a meta with super strong and fast kiters, which are a direct counter to a slow hunter like Clerk.

@@Joriginality pookie say what u want abt her chase but don’t come at her cipher pressure cuz she elite when it comes to that. Like ur on abt ppl seeing the circle when that’s literally the whole point cuz they will stop decoding and even if they do decode you can just reverse and block it. And yes her skill is based on prediction cuz u need to mind game the survivors into doing what you want, but that’s essentially what you do with most hunters. Just cuz she might be too hard for u don’t mean she is bad, maybe try to learn her and u will realise she is actually fun.

I have to say that china tier list has GOT to be false. Idk if it’s a rank one? Maybe then I guess I could possibly understand. But in terms of china top tier idv gameplay?…yea no. Just look at IVL and modern international tourneys that happen. We haven’t seen goat yet but the consensus is he’s the best chase hunter the game has ever seen as of yet and it’s just too good. But throw him away for now, he’s not even in comp yet. Ivy and Opera are obvious. But the rest are flat out wrong. Otherwise you’d see the usage rates reflect this tier list. You don’t. You haven’t seen Photo at all. You haven’t seen Feaster at all. Like 1-3 players TOP use Bon bon and sculpt and they struggle to tie. You don’t see FG at all. Yet you DO see Ann, Geisha, Nightwatch, some hermit, dw, some Lizard, GK, some naiad and some wax. This tierlist for china is just plain wrong. Like we HAVE NOT seen any feaster in years. But we’ve seen some soul weaver game play. And it’s not bc their roles as hunters are different, that’s not the case at all. Spider is a solid tie hunter. Hard to win with but hard to win as survs. Feaster is not going to win any games, he’d be a tie hunter off rip. If he was a win hunter, when hunters needed 4k’s he’d be played by at least 1 or 2 people. Hes not. If he was a hard tie hunter he’d be played when hunters need a hard tie. He’s not. Same thing with Photo. You don’t seen him played for either reason. Wu Chang too. But just today WBG Played Wheel and won. Just the other day WBG played wax. Every day Opera Ivy Geisha and Ann are played tho. So why are hunters that are never ever played in the same or similar tier. Even the bottom of the tier list is wrong. Clown and mad eyes in the 2nd lowest? Clown has been used semi recently as well as mad eyes, and the general consensus is that mad eyes is a great hunter but requires so much investment he’s not worth it. Clown is like wheel 2 and is often used as a specialty hunter in good maps for him but he IS played. Wu Chang meanwhile, is NEVER played. I think the last time he was played was like 2 COA’s ago but some Korean team who beat another weaker SEA or Korean team with him and then he never used him again. Additionally Vio has seen decent usage rates in IJL, the second highest skill level league of idv. Hes not like cracked, in fact he’s kinda mid or even bad. But he’s not worse than Leo. Leo was played in the most recent COA as of commenting and he got 0 or 1 mans every time. He couldn’t get a single surv downed to begin with. There is so much wrong with this tier list I cannot imagine who possibly made it or claims that it’s the meta of china/top top top idv performance. A more realistic tier list should show Goat Ivy Opera around S tiers. Ann Geisha DW next in line with maybe the argument for wax or hermit in there and then GK, Nightwatch, (wax and hermit if not already in there higher up. And then speciality/scenario dependent hunters in Spider, Naiad, Bq, Wheel, Clown, Mad eyes, Lizard, sculpt, and G26. (All listings being in no specific order). It sounds harsh, but anything other than this is flat wrong. If you don’t believe me you can go watch modern day IVL and you’ll see these hunters mentioned played. No one else.

Wu chang was played in the last coa just once. I was only watching when b4u was playing but I saw that match. But I agree with you with everything else and w u chang us still weak tho

@@pennytrui1149 yea I said in my comment, wu Chang WAS played one time. But he was played by a weak SEA team vs another weak SEA team, in all honesty those 2 teams are probably weaker than the average NAEU Comp team. Their games were bad and messy and neither made it far into COA anyway. It’s hardly a representation of Wu Chang in top tier china gameplay or the peak of idv gameplay.

Dream Witch has no chase, she can't keep up with the fast kiters on the meta rn. Just watch any pro DW and the most they get is a tie, if the survivors do not mess up.

Honestly, my problem with pro players is they tunnel too much. Hermit's issue is that he's supposed to be whacking everyone, spreading the damage... And tunneling basically makes him useless

Even with spreading out damage it takes so long for him to move across the map even with warp/tp. Most of the pro players I see oversees also have inconsistent aiming 🥲
