@Demonstraction4 жыл бұрын
I used to ask myself how the German citizens allowed a fascist to take over like Hitler did. Being a citizen in the US right now, I don't wonder that anymore. Edit: You people trying to explain what a "dire economic situation" Germany was in at the time are only proving my point. Trump also pointed out many of the problems in the US that people were facing and capitalized on it. His solutions are wrong, but he won people over nonetheless. Would you use the same excuse "you should have seen the economic state of the US at the time Trump was elected, the middle class was really suffering and that's why they voted Trump in" ? There's so much more than this reductionist argument, and my entire point was really trying to point out that fascism doesn't just happen overnight. It happens slowly as the citizens are subject to mass propaganda and cults of personality. Checks and balances are stripped away and power is consolidated among yes-men. The similarities between the rise of trump and the rise of hitler are strikingly similar, except hitler was a great orator, and trump only uses his racism as a tool to sow discord. Regardless, I sure hope the ending changes in this parallel. Vote in 2020 people! No matter what.

No mother should have to have their child comfort them into not crying, let alone everything else that poor woman went through. And no kid should have to be their mother’s trauma support (not that I in ANY WAY am blaming the mom - she’s totally doing better than I would be). Just it’s horrible. 🤦🏽♀️

Speaking of awareness, mega genocide of indigenous Native Americans, and their population in Continents of America 500 yrs ago was around 15 millions, while European population in Europe was around 20 millions.Today, Natives population at 15 million, while European population, in Continents of America + Europe, at a staggering 'ONE BILLION'! For instance, 200 years ago here in USA, around 3 million Germans came, and now there are 65 millions German-Americans; while 150 years ago, around 2 millions Irish came, and now there are 45 million Irish-Americans. While 500 years ago there were estimated 5 to 6 millions indigenous Native Americans in U.S.A, before Christopher Columbus arrived, today there are only around 2 million indigenous Native Americans survived. Imagine this scenario, if Native American people cross the Atlantic, invade and Colonize Europe, and slaughter most Europeans, and put the remaining populations in tiny reservations, for 500 long years. How would Europeans feel about it? Think about it. All they need is their beloved motherlands back, the lands that their ancestors forebears had lived through thick and thin, endured through hardships and all for generations. Besides, indigenous Native Americans in Colonized lands of Anglo British, Spaniard and others are more of the same. Kill the indigenous Natives and whoever is left, marginalize them and create artificial poverty, once that poverty becomes crime and drinking, the media points to the poor and blames them to continue to stigmatize the 'other' community, scumbags, etc. Amazing fact that Indigenous Natives had built such great civilizations as Mayan, Inca and Aztec without outside help, and all from the scratch, and all on their own, since they had been cut off from the rest of the world for ten of thousand of years. In other words, they actually are great and proud people. Imagine what would it be like today if Native Americans had possessed some sort of nuclear weapons to defend themselves, and their beloved motherlands from invaders Colonizers? The answer is they would still have their own beloved motherlands, plus their population comparable to that of European population. I've no doubt about that. In my humble opinion, it's about time to decolonize the Colonized lands, and return it to rightful owners Native American people. Remember, notorious global cardinal crime like Slavery & Colonialism had long been over, why on earth is this another notorious Colonization still lingering on? In fact, China has made no secret that it would one day help liberate Continents of America which it sees as rightfully belonging to Indigenous Native American people. The scope of the surveillance state that the Chinese government is building ( Ofc the American surveillance system is pretty bad too but with a robust democratic set-up and free citizenry, the chances of it being abused by the state is considerably lower) has been expanding unabated and doesn't seem to draw the kind of attention that something of that nature would be expected to.

Edited because of autocorrect 🤓
The difference between TikTok and KZbin is Tiktok is administered by the central government of the People's Republic of China, and KZbin is administered by an American Company. Tiktok is censored by china directly...whilst youtube censors their content in line with China's views to avoid "controversy". Both of these are probably just as bad as each other. Tiktok HAS to censor or else Chinese magicians will make them disappear. You could argue KZbin is worse, because they made the choice to do it.

The saddest part is lack of action despite knowing all this. All countries want cheap Chinese goods.

Not as easy as you think, some countries live on chinese made goods cause they dont have the industry that chinese has Edit: forgot to mention that if any countries publicly announce that they will embargo chinese products, china will retaliate one way or another

When you look at the evidence for number of people in the concentration camps, they almost all link back to Adrian Zenz or the CHRD regardless of the publication. The method used to count the "millions" of Uyghur's in camps were from interviewing EIGHT people and asking them to estimate how many people were being detained in their town. "CHRD, based in Hong Kong and Washington DC, interviewed dozens of Uyghur people in Xinjiang. Interviewees gave estimates of how many people-ranging from 8% to 20%-were being detained in their towns. It averaged out to 12% and CHRD bumped the percentage down to 10% for a conservative estimate, ultimately giving them 1.1 million Uyghur Muslims imprisoned. qz.com/1599393/how-researchers-estimate-1-million-uyghurs-are-detained-in-xinjiang/ www.nchrd.org/2018/08/china-massive-numbers-of-uyghurs-other-ethnic-minorities-forced-into-re-education-programs/ Meanwhile the eye witness of the horrors in the camp tells a different story whenever she's interviewed. You can search her name Sayragul Sauytbay. In one testimony she said she saw rapes, medical experiments and was beat. www.businessinsider.com/muslim-woman-describes-horrors-of-chinese-concentration-camp-2019-10 In another she said she didn't see any violence directly. www.theglobeandmail.com/world/article-everyone-was-silent-endlessly-mute-former-chinese-re-education/ Regardless, witness testimonies must be taken with a grain of salt, see the Nayirah testimony for example: en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nayirah_testimony It's funny how people are skeptical of the media but will believe everything that they hear about China with little to no evidence if it confirms their biases.

Just an FYI Trump has been trying to do something about it for years.

@@davidbischoff6977 you mean the Muslim travel ban from a few years ago? Because that's the wrong direction to do something about it.

billy kobilca yes what’s happening in Palestine is absolutely horrific but so is what’s happening in China. You can’t compare the suffering of people, we just need to make sure we do something to combat them!

Well American your lil world would be shattered by CCP if they really become the top dog of the world. Because they'll definitely try doing what they did to Uighur into you if you small enough. Or eroding your culture by their own culture Have fun

No it was to lighten the mood because this is a comedy news program but this story is exceedingly dark. It is pretty much like John said a modern day holocaust, the part with the mother and her toddler child was heart breaking.
@STSWB5SG1FAN4 жыл бұрын
@@333angeleyes He was also trying to explain the crazy logic China was using in locking up those poor people. The same sort of "logic" someone from the Trump administration was using to try to justify Federal Law Enforcement Officials seizing people off the streets of Portland because they THOUGHT these people MIGHT commit vandalism of Federal property, even though they might be dozens of miles from any such property.

Not acknowledging when Islam left unchecked usually festers into wohabism. Just like ALL religions like money, created by man are humankind cancer. I can almost agree with the non progressive types of our brothers an sisters is overdone political correctness. Throughout history it allows many evil purveyors to prey on the least of us!

@@ericulivarri9905 Sorry to hear that Eric. I really wish you take your time to reconsider. I am also clearly non-religious and open about it. But your criticism is not really about religion, we both know that.

A secular nation: An excellent idea and really the only way I can think of that actually ensures a reasonable measure of religious freedom. Of course, claimed religious beliefs cannot present a true and demonstrable risk to others, nor can they infringe on other's rights to practice the same freedoms or any of their other rights, but beyond that, religion or irreligion can be a personal, community, or cultural component to a healthy mind and a healthy person. An "aggressive" secular nation: Basically dystopia. A different flavor of zealot. A gross violation of human rights. It makes all the same mistakes as a theocracy while claiming to be under some other banner. Past atrocities can be attributed to this mindset and if it doesn't just die and fall away, they will be repeated. There are good religious people. There are good irreligious people. A society should value members on their contributions and their moral character, not on how they arrived at those conclusions.
@oldghettoway7500 Жыл бұрын
True that. I am an atheist through and through but what we are doing in china is no better than the worst theocracy has to offer.
