I'm sorry but i think Fujii/Kakiiwa were the weakest Japanese pair has produced. Look at now! Matsutomo/Takahashi, Fukushima/Hirota, Matsumoto/Nagahara are strong and skillful enough, interesting to watch.

Ge Fei/Gu Jun, Yang Wei/Zhang Jiewen and Gao Ling/Huang Sui from China are older than their junior such as Wang Xiaoli/Yu Yang and Tian Qing/Zhao Yunlei but they have a better techniques than most women doubles players nowadays. If you really follow the badminton you won't reply like what you said.

@@ghfr7895 Respect the early trailblazers. Maeda-Suetsuna/Fujii-Kakiiwa/Shiota-Ogura were amongst the earliest revival form of Japanese WD. Without those three pairs - The pairs that you mentioned won't even come. And no, you cannot be the weakest and get silver medal. They are solid enough. In fact, one of the pair (Kakiiwa) is a coach for current lead pair of Matsuyama-Shida. So, to say they're weak is a terrible notice.
