there is a myth in Indian army high altitude warfare program which we don't know if it's real or not. Before going in high altitude areas, ours soldiers drinks wine before going there that somewhat helps them in combating the temperatures.

Geography plays an important role because both cannot use heavy equipment in mountains as India china border is all mountainous, so likely there will be minor skirmishes fought mainly by infantry, but drone will play a major role, looking at the current Ukraine-Russia war. But in a long drawn war.. India will be exhausted because in war economy matters and china has 3times more money and not forgetting it's called manufacturing capital of the world so most likely china will out produce india in everything you name it(except medicine). But if we really consider the geopolitics, china won't go to war due to it's vulnerability because 70% of its trade volume passes through mallaca straight which can be easily blocked by Indian navy through its Naval base in Andaman & Nicobar islands chain, plut 2 Aircraft carrier, so until china completes it's Belt and road project,full scale war is unlikely..
