She needs a qualified electrician to wire the house: 1) Group all the solar panel (and future wind turbine) outputs into one storage bank of batteries, which should be situated outside the house in a shed, away from the living space, and sheltered from the weather elements. 2) Wire the house like a proper house/apartment in the city, with a main "power box" comprising switches, fuses, etc. One last thing, please tell her they must always keep the batteries upside up. Do not turn them sideways or upside down, lest there be an acid leak, leading to some ruinous mess on contact. The current wiring, battery placement and the lack of maintenance amount to a disaster waiting to happen.

Another thing: Those black power chords connected to the solar panels. Are they rated for outdoor usage? If not, that's a serious fire hazard, considering the harsh weather they're exposed to. The nomad people have centuries of wisdom passed down from generation to generation to survive in the wild, but electricity is not among them. Hopefully the new generation will -- as they seem to be doing -- adapt to modern living, the quicker the better, while still preserving their heritage.
