She is just *such* great value for a mesmerising performance.... yes, she has *all* the vocal techniques in her tool box, but it's her *choices* that get me. Then you factor-in the commitment to the performance being a special thing.... did you know she doesn't just choose which hat to wear for which occasion - she *makes* them!! She's such a lovely quiet unassuming girl in real life, but when she chooses the outfit & puts those nails on.... o_O I have a deep respect for any musical artist who is confident / brave enough to put out vulnerable stripped-down live captures like this tho, for real. People like Chinchilla really shine thru when all the layers of production are peeled away. p.s. talking about stripped-down live capture vs. studio production, treat yourself sometime to watching the OMV for Ren & Sam Tompkins doing "Blind Eyed", then go straight into the live capture they did for Music Crowns. It's a mighty contrast between a full-on studio production & two-blokes-with-a-guitar-the-way-it-was-written. I'm curious to know which one you prefer! ;)
