Dunder Krig no problem. I have a lot of real microtechs. In fact I just ordered the newest limited edition combat troodon. It’s black with stone washed copper blade, hardware, pocket clip, and glass breaker. But just recently got into collecting the one for one clones of them. And I am thoroughly impressed at how good they seem to be. The one giveaway I have noticed is they all seem to have the same serial number. As an example if you order 4 Exocet they all have a serial number of 041.

I've bought switch blades and OTF's from AliExpress and DHgate and by far the best 30$ to the door I've ever paid for a knife is my most recent buy which was for a SHOOZIZ model XUN-112 man I've owned about 200 knifes in my life and with confidence I say that you can't get a better knife for 29$ this thing opens like butter it's shaving sharp it has a cool shape g10 handle it's the same quality as what you would expect a knife to look and feel like for 150 ish range easily, you should definitely try them out , eventually I will do a review of the one I have after iver put it to work for a little bit longer to make sure it doesn't just crap out on me after like 1 week lolz

what I don't get is how expensive the real thing is compared to a counterfeit or clone that's nearly identical. sure, the level of quality and materials might not be the same but the way it functions pretty much is. I bought an ultratech clone (not a counterfeit) from amazon for $60, took it apart to look at the insides and compared it to videos of someone taking apart the real thing and they're like 99% identical. the finish is not the same, but the shape of the internal parts and exterior are pretty much spot on. of course not all clones or counterfeits are made equally, I got an infidel counterfeit that had different internals and was crap, but in the case of my ultratech clone it was pretty much a well made super cheap version of the real deal. the fact that there are well made knock offs out there makes me think that paying $300 or more for the real thing is kind of a scam. it's like you're paying more for the name brand than the actual functionality.

Yeah the mechanics rarely deviate from the patents... but they may actually share rhe same internals.. in order to be made in usa only a certain percentage of the parts have ro be actually made in america ..

You can sell anything you want, you can sell them for twice the price. But a good person would only mark them up 30% and sell them as a clone full transparency to the customer... if you sell it as a real MT then someone will call you out. As they should. Thanks for commenting

bought the ultratech 4 days ago and after a couple of uses the spring holder leg snapped so the blade wont retract. Cant seem to find replacement parts online either so the knife is basicly useless now. Guess it is to be expected for a clone but yeah sucks that not even microtech have replacements for sale.

I have a clone (same as you) and a real Halo 6. Seems that both k Ives tend to back their own screws out over time since the things fire so hard. My clone didnt come with the tool since I bought it on the secondary market. Do you still have your tool by chance?

I have a Microtech Ultratech clone from China and really like it. The quality is amazing. I keep it very sharp and it’ll cut as well as any $1000 knife. Best part is………It cost me $30. Can’t understand why anyone would waste hundreds of dollars on a knife. Unless of course you just want to show off.

Honestly I haven't been using it.. I just take it out and play with it. But it hasn't misfires or failed to retract. It wasn't a lot of money but it's actually a nice looking knife. I should put it to use and do another video. The other clones in my videos are holding up well. I should update them too.

Nice review. I would just like to point out I would consider that a counterfeit as opposed to a clone since they are trying to make it look like a true microtech when it is not. Some of the products that Vespa makes I would consider them to be a clone since they appear to be a microtech but vespa is not actually labeling them and selling them as a microtech--AKA making someone think they're buying a true microtech knife when they're not--hopefully that comes off somewhat understandable and gets my point across. I think vespa makes a quality knife I'm currently waiting on one to arrive. It actually cost over $130 I think the higher price is due to the blade being a SVN35 (?) versus m390. I have not seen any complaints about vespa knives however I'm sure they are out there.

Not sure about this clone, but if you disassemble other clones the retaining screws will strip.

Clone is when I company makes their own version of another company design.A clone is like when smith and wesson sells a gun that is exactly like a glock with smith and wesson logos. A fake is when a company makes their own version of another company's design and uses that company's logo also

I've noticed wish is quicker, but I bought 2 items off wish(sunglasses) the same day They came a month apart and I didn't get the first pair till 2months after ordering. So it took over 3 months to get here. So you're dead on with the way things are shipping now. But check the little truck icon for items that ship quicker. Sometimes there are items you're looking for already in the states ready to go.

Just watch Microtechs videos on how they tell clones/counterfeits from the real deal, they will show you what I mean by much higher quality product.

@@bullridermusic2054 ive had all my clones steels tested, and honestly, one of the shocking things is the amount of s35vn blades on clones was surprising, about 4 fifths of my clones i own are s35vn, and half of them were stamped "d2 steel" hell, my best beater knife is a cloned osbourne with genuine titanium scales and s35vn blade, thing runs smoother than the real one

the halo clones are really nice actually, however i highly doubt its Elmax steel, most likely 440 or AUS 8 which is the japanese equivalent of 440! it also could possibly be 8cr13mov but i would rather have 440 than 8cr13mov....just my opinion

Yes, definitely not elmax. But the vespa clone is proven to be be super steel and titanium. But that is still a $200 knife.

I've used 2 different tanto versions of these H6's quite a bit and if I had to guess I'd say it's that slightly inferior Chinese version of D2. They seem to hold an edge much longer than 440c/8cr/aus8, closer to the edge retention of a carbon steel Mora or something like that. For the performance vs price, it's gotta be Chicom D2. Elmax it ain't but still pretty legit.

@@christopher_martin Heat treats vary but when good, 440c is superior to aus8 and the 8cr's (440b's the equivalent) but D2 is superior to all of them for both edge retention and toughness. It's all heat treat though, LuvThemKnives channel's test sheets show many big companies aren't getting it hard enough, it needs to be 59-60hrc.

A single piece of stock sufficient to make that size blade in elmax would almost if not totally be the cost of the knife, they definitely do deploy pretty hard.

Which Chinese Microtech model and supplier do you consider the est quality? I want to buy 2-3 pcs Trodoon 230mm and also 2 different Halo's. I had one 6 months months ago and it was damn good for a replica, I consider it as good as a genuine Halo, the spring was ever harder and shooted out the blade MUCH FASTER & HARDER than a gen Microtech Halo. I consider the gen one's a completely ridicules price. It's shameful to charge $650-$900 USD for something that cost definitely not more than $20-30 to produce, it's outrageous as far as I'm concerned

Well, if I was to buy Chinese manufactured knives from a store online that may sell clones it would be miker made and buy from China hi end edc from DH Gate. But I have to say IMHO, microtech makes a way better knife. You will pay more for it. But there realy is no comparison on Quality.

I have seen and held genuin Microtech also, and there is no way in hell I would pay 400% more for genuine one, since the reps I had was of super high quality manufacture and genuine M390 ( confirmed at a knife store when I sharpened them both). They costed me $95 each and they were were to every cent. They had cheaper versions for $28 with crap blade and $50 with D2 blade. I agree of course Microtech have better manufacture quality but I still don't think it's worth 400%. The dealer i bought from doesn't exist anymore and there is so many scammers from China So I'm afraid to buy without recommendations. Maybe you have some nice better made replicas you have got the tired of and want to get rid of, then I'm interested even if used
