I planted this tree 14 years ago because of the great reviews I read. It’s pretty and provides shade but It’s reseeds throughout my yard. It drops a lot of twigs and has awful surface roots. I wish I had never heard of it.

I had this tree in my backyard and it uprooted with the wind. I don’t understand how people say, it’s invasive . My tree was 18 inch in diameter and a huge umbrella , didn’t give me any problems

All the other "Lacebark Elm" video makers should watch this video. I really don't like non-native trees being planted. It should be illegal!

i'm in the california valley where it's super hot in the summer, and I recently planted one of these for shade. informative video, thanks for the tips.

They are escaping for sure. In Louisiana I'm seeing them pop up everywhere near where they are planted such as in hedges, in the wooded areas surrounding a parking lot, cracks in the sidewalk is a very common place to see them. Just plant native elms instead such as Cedar Elm and Winged Elm.
