They say lotus leaves are good for weight lost. You can get them in Asian food stores. Use to wrap sticky rice with etc. Seeds also. Mild sweet nutty taste. You may find the roots at Asian stores. Its crunchy like an apple with a potatoes like taste. Has little filament when you bite into the root. Easy to boil (peel of skin) or put into soups. Most of the time lotuses are underwater.
