Been listening to these guys since middle school and seeing them in North America was a dream come true. Chinese rock needs more attention and Chinese Football is among the best

Story time! So I was travelling in south-east Asia this autumn, and even went to China since I was close and wanted to go off the beaten path. I met a girl, spend almost 3 weeks with her. At some point I asked her if she knew the band Chinese Football (I saw this on bandcamp many years ago but never really listened for real. American Football was once my favorite band, and I just remembered this exist). Turns out she's also from Wuhan and she likes Chinese Football, and even saw them live! Sadly, at the time I was in Asia, they were touring in north america and went to my home province in Canada. Then I got home few weeks ago, and started listening almost everyday to this band, watching all videos and short documentary about them. They got that chill nostalgia vibe that I like but not in a depressing way. And then BOOM they releases a Audiotree and KEXP session (which are my two favorite session platforms). It just fits perfectly in this timeline. As for me I plan to travel again with this girl in a couple of months, and hopefully catch them live somewhere. The world is big but quite small too. Go explore!

Bro,Me too, I met a girl in the music community, we were in the same city, we had very similar interests, I even went to Hong Kong with her to watch a Babymetal concert, during which she recommended Chinese football to me , she said Electric Girl is her life song and hopes to invite the band to perform at her wedding. I have been exposed to the Midwestern EMO since then and I have been fascinated by Chinese football. Unfortunately, we haven't been in touch since I came back from Hong Kong. The last time I contacted her, I learned that she didn't like Chinese football for some reason. This made me even more EMO
