Chinese Infrastructure near Tawang, Arunachal Pradesh

The third road from highways to India is the S-202 Provincial road to the Tawang area. The S-202 is about 200 km long from highway to the Tawang border at Bum La. It is along this road that the Chinese have the most visibly large military presence in the Eastern region. This area is where the Chinese sit on the heights and Tawang is down on the slopes leading to Tawang Chu river.

No need to be jealous or shout at China. India need to develop its own road communication for the citizens living along the border. In Arunachal, some border villages still have to walk for 7,8 days to reach the nearest town. Many of the present generation of those villages may not see motorable roads in their life.

No you are not correct. Now well roads are constructed throughout AP by the GREF personnel and you can easily reached any part of AP. But travel time may taken more time since it is hill area. Most of the time there will be snow falls road slide etc.

Interesting video. However, delaying tactics to thwart any Chinese advance into Tawang or anywhere else are now unnecessary and the roads are therefore being improved rapidly with even a railway planned upto Tawang. Every square inch of roadway on both sides of the border in the area is now zeroed in by both artillery and missiles, including Brahmos, and any Chinese attack can be stopped before it crosses into India. All of this is without even counting air power from the several bases in Assam. Moreover, in a war scenario, the new Panagarh based mountain strike corps will likely take the fight inside Tibet where the barren and flat terrain is conducive to fast movement and makeshift airstrips, unlike in Arunachal's steep forests and valleys.

Sir ,highly admire your work.can you please make a video and elaborate on the chinese presence in Trans-Karakoram Tract. Especially the Shaksgam valley.How strongly do they hold it.Where are the supply lines.I only c a dirt road starting from the highway(G219) running along the Yarkant river and then Kel qinghe, leading to a end point that is exactly on the supposed border.After that in the indian side (rest of the valley) i can not see any roads or military infrastructure in or anywhere near the Shaksgam Valley.Why is it a no Mans land .Why is it not controlled by india when its our territory.Thx, Dhruv.

Tawang should not belong either to China or India and should be mutually worked out in creating some kind of DMZ area in resolving the outstanding issues between the two countries. India and China should make all efforts in living in peace as both nations have populations exceeding 1 billion and their cultures goes back to thousands of years. People in Tawan are Chinese descendants, and Tibet Buddhism. It is apparently not India. North Eastern part of India is questionable.
