@@dawgamonggators Win rate is not a good indicator of the capabilities of a civ. The Ottomans have an insane win rate right now, in Ranked, however truthfully they are one of the worst late game civs because they have nothing going for them late game, no insane eco or unlimited gold, and no powerful late game unit that makes Chuck Norris cry. Only reason why the Ottomans have a high win rate is because the games are ended in 20 minutes, before they reach Imperial. Now China is an interesting case, China is very difficult to play. Like no noob can pick up China and expect to instantly know how to properly play them, simply because China is a difficult civ to understand well. However since China has such a busted economy, and if they manage to make it into castle or imperial. You're kinda just dead and should quit unless you are playing China yourself.

Then are top players saying the civ is very good, but is it worth it to have a civ that the difficulty pays off only for 0.001% of all players because "everyone else is bad"?

​@@Cyanide_and_LonelinessExperts(top players) opinions are the most valuable indicator of game balance, then there is the raw data (win rates), and lastly the least useful indicator is the biased opinion of of average players. Yet China always gets a lot of hate from average players when in their tier china is not performing good at all because the average player sucks at playing china. Team game players affect this a lot because as you said, if a china player goes super greedy his economy will be unstoppable. Going super greedy with china is super hard to pull off unless the map covers you or for some reason your enemy doesn't attack for 20 minutes like in team games. So yeah, if you go 3 TC song you will be unstoppable when it pays off, does that mean the civ is too strong? not really because it is hard to pull it off. On the other hand Ottomans are very capable at ending the game before their late game weakness is relevant, does that make them a bad civ? not at all... China water eco is too strong IMO, but i always see people wanting to nerf everything else...

According to all honest pros, the big structural problem in Age of Empires is that Ottomans (and Delhi, less degree) are unplayable in competitive Imperial, because Janissary and Great Bombrd are impossibly bad (and Delhi tech too slow). Not Chinese keep

nice video, thank you. Don artie lost every fight in the game and lost whole army. For the first big fight loss of England, chinese takes the advantage of stage up to castle. Second loss of big fight of england, chinese built 2 TC. for the third fight in stage 3, dont understand why don artile used melee to attack chinese keep....then England GG no matter its econ, villagers or army...

Drongo the omniscient Aussie, why doesn't anyone center their armies around trebuchets?? Trebs outrange all defensive buildings and you just use your army to protect them. Rams are OP right now, but they have to get up close where they're vulnerable. Don Artie should've done the classic English turtle. Then pushed up with a siege ball of trebs, mangos, and springalds protected by crossbows and spears.
