Most importantly, people from the world get to know the real local chinese interacting with a black foreigner. I dated an african girl in guangzhou initially but my experience of ppl towards her was not too great. They do celebrate Christmas, just look at travel vlogs all the cities have Christmas decorations. In western countries we celebrate Christmas but only a minority are actually practising Christians, same in China.

As a Peace Corps Volunteer in The Gambia of West Africa, I shared Christmas with a150-child preschool in an Islamic village in which I lived and established the school which is still in existence today. You both have no idea. Is it less disrespectful to share Christmas in China where they may practice other religions? Do you know that Christianity, Islam, and even Judaism came from the same source? Do you know about the historical background of the horrific subjugation Christianity (not to mention Islam) has placed upon indigenous peoples around the world? Do you know that you are a descendant of a subjugated one? Do you even know about the origins of Christmas at all which was not originally based upon Christianity?
